Forest runner, when can we expect to see some of your fine work on the dls?

Hi Pete. It's incredibly flattering to pique the interest of one our Content Creating legends around here. Wow!

Similiar to my Melton Valley/Vale modules, I'll be releasing this narrow gauge effort in the short term future. I've been getting some encouraging PM's and e-mails on it, as it seems the different and obscure is raising some eyebrows.

Also, I'm considering "lapsing" the little projects I'm involved in and trying to get my hands on a Quorn to Hawker DEM. I know it's a sizeable project of very little scenic variety and proto operational possibilities, but it's just an impulse right now.

Forest_Runner,

Some more wonderful shots from you. But for a lack of money (isn't that always the way?) i'd upgrade my computer, grab a copy of '09, and your modules, along with Trent's Port Levendale, would be the first two routes i would download.

Pete, any progress updates on your Castlereagh flour mill? We need a few more of those for our Aussie routes. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Matt.

Hey guys

I have been having problems with computer thats why i havnt said much about the stockinbingal line at all unable to work on any thing due to the system shuting down all the time when on the game.

Dont know what it is but iam going to try a low profile layout to test the problem to find out what it is iam going to make a small route from my mind thats going to be in the outback australia.

I may need to buy a new bigger system for it.

My #1 recommendation to any Aussie 09/10 newbie would be to download axe's Georgetown-Tarin Rocks Route, mate. It's complete, perfectly balanced, offers infinite hours of operational fun & excellence, and inspirational for the prospective route builder young & old.

Should be, and would expect it to be, a built-in route for the next edition/version as far as I'm concerned... provided content in the route is not inexplicably obseleted to something lesser and/or unsuitable for the route as they did with some TS2010 offerings.

OK my route is ready to be uploaded. But can someone explain to me how to do this, using TRS 2010.

And to contribute to the thread here is a pic.

Thanks,

Could not agree more Forest_runner. One of the best routes I have downloaded and still use today :) It's a great inspirer in surveyor to look around and get some great ideas from this exceptional route.

Axe1970's masterpiece is a keeper and if you haven't already downloaded it - "Your missing out!" Download it now, you wont be disappointed.

Great screenshots all round as usual :)

@ Hert, Great screenshot :) To upload, locate your route file in CM3.2 and right click it and choose "Upload" which will move it to the upload tab on the left hand side. From there you can proceed to upload it to the DLS. It's fairly simple once you get the hang of it. Look forward to seeing your route soon.

Cheers

Trent

Hello all,

Just a few basic shots from my route in progress. Nothing special today, just routine consist running to make sure my adjustments work LOL.

Making sure AI freight follows freight siding through stations. (It works! hehe)

Nice looking scenes as usual, Trent. Awesome stuff!!

Hert... great to see some non-Oz members have a go. Nice depictions of downunder as well.

@Mitch, you go ok with the 3'6" recommendations/message??

Yeah mate, went fine. Just getting toward downloading them now, because I went on a splurge got a heap of V/Line gear, so it's going to be a while before CMP get's to the 3ft 6in stuff.:hehe:
Nice work everyone, as always.
Thanks,
Mitch

NG Carriages and track problems

Hi Trainzerz!!

I have recently started on a Narrow Gauge route using SAR and QR Narrow Gauge content. One of the QR Narrow Gauge items is the QR BRM NG TRS Wagon. It is not NG, But more like SG. GLT0145 if you are still out there, could you please fix the bogeys or something, because I am not that great at fixing and creating. Forest Runner, what is the name or kuid for those narrow gauge carriages. Look quite good.

Thanks, SARRailways :D:):D:)

Some more wonderful shots from you. Well done, sir, well done.:Y:

Forest_Runner,

I had quite forgotten about Axe's spectacular Georgetown-Tarin Rocks route. It has been some weeks since any pics have appeared in this thread, so it slipped from my mind. Nevertheless, i stand by what i said earlier, in regards to both your work, and that of Tanvaras. They would be the first '09 items to come from the DLS, followed, of course, by Georgetown-Tarin Rocks.
Also, going back to pics of said route not appearing, it hardly needs to. There is some spectacular work appearing in this thread of late; the two of you producing some brilliant results, as well as Jamie's efforts. And i agree with Mitch456yui, in his assessment of Hert's work: For a Yank, it isn't half bad.

Keep it up guys.

Matt.

No trains! ... this is of the southern end of Flinders yard showing the stock sidings.

Cattle is side loaded into wagons/vans as we come to expect. Although it might not be clear in the shot, sheep are loaded from the race that backs onto the second siding... and are end loaded into wagons/vans.
