Australian screenshots

Thanks for the quick reply. If you could do that, and find something, i'd be much appreciative. I've had a look, but the only ones that i have managed to find have roads.

Matt.

*sniffs* poor little 47 class, it stumbles once, its big brother (44 if I'm not mistaken* will just roll right over it and flatten it.
Well if it was mid summer there is a good chance the 47 has already over heated and failed. Was very much the trend in service

mattm, I found some, if you search for "pedestrian", but I will tell you straight away, they are not NSW in origin! They are not the ones that I had, but if I ever find them, I'll send them your way.

Mattm

look up stryker on the dls he made a few level crossings and pedestrian only crossings only the only down side are they are based on QR ones, there maybe issues with the scripting that works them as they were built for one version of the game Auran changed it and the scripting for the crossing was broken.

Hmmm I thought Pete released them at some stage, along with a WCR version. Must have been before last year's forum crash. Anyway, another one, of a skin for the car I'm working on...

Thanks guys. I have found one. It's one of Strykers QR ones, which i already had installed. Whoops, caught out being lazy.:o Ah well, not the first time, and certainly not the last.:hehe:

Thanks again guys; and Raichaise, if you do find a NSW one, let us know.

Cheers,

Matt.

Wow!, the aussie screenshot forum has come alive. It's sort of returning to what it used to be. Great to see some old faces back like James, Bearcat, Dave etc.

@Jackford, in my opinion you are as welcome here as anyone else is, but provided you are respectful and mature about what you have to say. Fairs fair I rekon.

About posting screenshots, there are a couple of threads explaining how to do it.

They might help.

To everyone else, keep the fantastic screenshots coming, the great discussions and humor!:hehe:

Hmm, my PN 90 Class system hasn't failed, the number of 90 class locos just needs to catch up...:o

Okay, now I'm using the mighty NR Class vs QRN 6000 Class (which has more power than the 5000... from what I have gathered)...

Uh, Mitch. It's the 5000 Class. I don't think QR had a 6000 Class.

There are 35 6000s, right? Well, didn't you say they had about 4500hp?
What's 35 x 4500? 157,500hp
So, all up, the 6000s have a combined 157,500hp, correct?
(Also, I must say that PN owns some 6000s, but they are classed as 92 class, PN owns 15 92 class locos)

There's 12 5000's, rated at Australia's most powerful mainline locomotive.

The NR Class, horsepower is 4,020.
There are 119 NR Class locos, so, do the maths...
119 x 4,020 = 478,380hp
There you have it, the combined HP of the NR Class ABSOLUTELY DESTROYS that of the 6000 class, or, PN 92 Class

There's 120 NR's. NR4 was rebuilt as NR121 after a derailment, making 120 units.

Now, if we expand further, PN owns 15 92 Class locos. QRN owns only 12, and ARG, own 8. And, Xstrasta Coal has 10 on order, and their Australian HQ is in SYDNEY, NSW.
So, NSW owns MORE 92/6000 class locomotives than QLD!

Again, it's the 5000 class, you said before QR has 35, and now thats changed to 12? And ARG doesn't own any. And for power rating, there's always the QR 3700/3800's, which we also discussed? It's only fair. The 3700/3800's & 5000's vs the NR's and 92's? I believe I can do the maths for that. :hehe:

NSW = NR Horsepower (4020x120 units) + 92 Horsepower (4020x35 units (apparently)) =
623,100hp for 156 units
QR = 3700/3800hp (5360x111 units) + 5000 Class Horsepower (4020*12 units) =
643,190 for 113 units...

Seems to me QRNational is providing better locomotives, getting more value for money, emitting less, pulling more... the list goes on. Also, the initial arguement was between PN and QR, therefore, Xstrasta and the other companies shouldn't come into the arguement. :p

Furthermore, I believe the GSPE ran to Sydney and Canberra quite a few times, aye Mitch?
