Australian screenshots

Hi james,

enjoy your holiday, if I had the choice between Morocco or G-max I know where I'll be.

Come back refreshed and assess it then.

See you around when you come back.

Cheers,

Bill.

ps; I see what you mean.

Did you know the full Arabic name of Morocco is ?Al-Mamlaka al-Maghribiya?, which translates to ?The Western Kingdom?, and French is a language widely spoken there?

Just thought it was interesting...

I can speak Arabic, to an extent. And yes, French is spoken more frequently there than English. Spanish, too. Historical influences. Quite honestly, I love the Arabic countries. There's a certain passion for culture which I love. Although I certainly do miss the Aussie cultural passion for a good beer!

When I mentioned 'kids' on these forums, I'm more refering to the trolls and such. I really don't care much about age. It's just a number.

A quick question.

On my little EEE-PC 900 I managed to get 34 variations on 3D Eucalypts made, including lods. No configs, as I still have not seriously tested them. I have a new laptop which can run Trainz (finally) so I can test them but am completely unenthused about it all. With Speetree coming out with '10, I feel that my work is wasted.

Is it worthwhile finishing them off, when there is a better solution in the works? With some vague testing and countless hours of work, they really don't look as good as I would like, although I did my best to work within the limits of '09. Despite the silly hours of work I've put into these, it seems pointless if Speedtree takes over.

In a way, I'm starting to feel that I don't care about TRS anymore. I'll be perfectly honest, I don't really like the community we have now. I miss the days of old. And I was always interested in the Trainz thing because of the community. There used to actually be some fun in the community. So I suppose I've turned into a cynical old cod.

Is it really worth finishing and releasing my work for trainz anymore? Or should I just sell my meshes on Turbosquid or something...

I'm just wondering if there's any point, as there is something better for TRS. Speedtree is a wonderful thing, and would be hard to beat.

Any opinions?

I don't mind my work 'wasted'. I'm just wondering if it is worthwhile. If people migrate to 2010, then it seems pointless.

G'Day Jim
Its your life and your idea of fun or not.
I love your work and particularly your "gums" and the little blue Zig Zag tank.
Like others have said, your stuff is extremely useful and will never be a waste.
Cheers

Hi Bill,

Looking very nice & progressing well.
I may have asked before (& you may well have answered!),
but is that dirt road released, & if so, may I have a name/kuid please?.
Is it available in TRS2004?.

Many thanks, :)

James, ofcourse theres a need for your trees. Just as long as they're about the right colour then I don't see what else needs to be done to perfect them haha.
They defiantly will have a place on my routes. Enjoy Morroco!

Having been to Morisset a number of times, that screenshot is scarily accurate. Interesting to see the up yard in it's former form and without wires though!
