the front end on those are totally different to the plans and photos I have worked from, that is the recessed flat surface around the lights,,, groan start again

No!!
Just recess the marker lights when you add the front concertina :hehe:
It does not have to be perfect, just professional
Cheers
Rod

Well the victorian version is markedly different from the NSW version. As you can see NSW had recessed lights as well as the covered doorways. This will need to seperate versions
The external changes were simple but I will have to redo the interior for the NSW version

cheers
pete

I thought the interiors were pretty much the same?
go back to my post showing the conversion numbers from NSW to Victoria.
Use the two numbers for the NSW version that became the VR ones and they should be ok ?
Cheers
Rod

Typical of the VR workers, half the lights are not working and no-one cares :)

Strange thing is I can't see a single worker :D maybe they are all

Cheers David

looking at the plans Nat posted, there is a difference in the larger crew end. It appears that the crew section does not extend right across the interior allowing passengers to alight that end, the other version had a cafeteria in it not sure if VLine ever did that, speaking of which Rod would it be better if the Vic one went chrome and orange?

Yes please :hehe:
We are getting some H Trailers which these things towed in their orange days.
I would forget the restaurant cars with this model. They need to be rebuilt and have a different code number in NSW anyway, if you care to start another one?
I think we have built but two of the cars available. Name the silver ones with their NSW codes and the orange ones with the Viccy codes.
DRC42 (formerly PCH 1224) and DRC43 (formerly PCH 1227)
And thanks for these, on my North East layout I can run the NSW ones out of Albury, and the Viccy ones out of Seymour :hehe:
Cheers
Rod
EDIT
Did you know those bogies are exactly the same as the Silver Sparks used? Well at least near enough

The difference is a large handbrake bar hanging across the face

That's a Red Fred, there's one at Rosewood Rail Museum. Rode on it a couple of years ago, was a good trip up from Cabanda station. Saw Greg Cash give a speach when C17 (forget number) was almost fully restored. Gidday Greg if you see this post.

The one pictured would be up at the Normanton-Croydon railway, home to the Gulflander.

I have thought about that railmotor before they are cool ar'nt they....but as always so not to be assalted by the rivit counters too much I would need plans and measurements .....and a few good pics
As any of us will tell you Modeling is not the hard part (after many years of practice).....finding the info is ....and I have'nt the time or the need to find it all if you can dig up some serious data send it to me and I will see what I can do.......
still researching b18 at moment
cant find any basic b13 measurments so if i make one the size of a pb sound about right????..........feedback please

Hello Again:wave:

Dear Dreddman Here Are Some Shots Of Some QR AEC Railmotors On The Brisbane Valley Line In The 1970's and i have a picture of RM 79 at Barron Falls in 1952. Oh patchy I have some photograghs of the Old Cooktown railmotor; accoding to my research RM 58 was rebuilt from an 1912 London Bus because it is desribed by the late Jim Powe: Above the steering column which read "This bus must not be be operated within X miles of London".
:hehe:Strange !!!!
p.s I Love these old AEC RM
