quick announcement: Congratulations memeboy on your oscar release they are fantastic I recommend you all to go and download them!

Cheers Ryan

Thanks Ryan for the announcement.

Memeboy has done it again. His new 'NSW H Oscar Set' will compliment any NSW layout. It's already included in my fleet and I couldn't wait to take it for a quick run on my test route.

Great work memeboy. Here's a link,... http://trainzelectrotransport.myfreesites.net/trains

Great shots as usual Roy, may I enquire about the Building on the right the one with the rusty roof and the platform in the foreground.

Thanks mate.

Joe.

He guys

Well the Oscar is here and it is yet another superb model from Memeboy. Don't forget, you can setup the set and car numbers and the destination boards work as well.
What does everyone think of the Guards Bell after the doors close? I love it and if the general consensus is the same I think we will add it to all of the sets.

Excellent shots everyone.
Just a few from me

Thanks Joe,

I've used a couple of old TS12 assets on that layout,... <kuid2:523:1349:2> Industrial Building 05 which has the rusty balcony and; another one I use is 'Industrial Building 02' (there are 2 assets with this name) one is just a box but the other has rust on it. I'm not sure which one is the rusty one.

Hi Aaron, I have to agree with you - memeboy's Oscar is definitely a beautiful model. I gave it a good run and I love the audio effects including the braking sounds when pulling into a platform. Fantastic work!

It would also be great if the rest of the NSW fleet were brought up to the same standard.

Cheers mate,
Roy

After trying out memeboy's Oscar on my test layout, I thought I'd chill out and put a triple 82 Class coal train through its paces.

Great shots guys. That first shot is an absolute ripper Graeme, the lighting and shadows are spot on mate. Very realistic, well done.

G'Day all
Thanks Baz, hope you're enjoying having a run or two on the North-east
Great shots Roy, and I have to agree, Memeboy's Oscars are awesome.

Hi Graeme,

Which era are you doing it? if it's pre 1995 their is a shed that went over the tracks right side to the main line, I can't remember the exact year when it was removed, I do know about 1996 it was gone and those roads became filled with VOFX stock after that then logging in 1998-2000, also behind No.1 platform there was a dock which was used as a Freight Centre, their would be 3 to 4 short louvre vans on that road each day and in the evening they'll be sent to Melbourne in a mixed train with tankers from shell, empty open wagons, loaded cement pots from Fyansford and louvre vans from Lara Freight Centre, I think it was FA that stopped the Lara freight centre in early/mid 2000.

Cheers.

The era seems to be more 2000s than 80s or 90s but I suppose I should check with Jamie.
At the moment, I'm working off Google Earth for the scenery on a closest fit with available assets basis. The earliest images on GE are from 2006, and there are a lot of differences between the 1978 signal diagram and today. Thanks for the tip on the yard loadings.
cheers

Great screenshots Graeme - I just love those early morning or late afternoon shadows, which gives a little more realism.

While waiting for the next TANE update gives me time to play trainz; and at the same time make a few small edits to my Sydney route.

Plenty of activity around Central - It's nice to have a choice of what to drive.
