Australian screenshots

G'day all,
Nice shots everyone, some very high quality work lately.
I've just finished texturing the route and basic detailing is just past Avenel. Not much more to do to finish the basics.
A few progress shots around Avenel

G'day everyone,
Now that the entire route is textured, I thought a series of map shots was in order to show the extent of the route.

Incredible work happening on a number of routes with plenty of screenshots to keep everyone interested. Keep it up guys.

I've also been re-furbishing Sydney Central for Version 4 and spent all day remodeling Redfern Station with better looking platforms, re-setting all the track levels and adjusted all catenary, poles and gantry's to Central and back. Whew !!

I looked at what I'd completed from an aerial perspective and thought 'nothing much has changed'. Of course you can't drive trains from up in the sky, but in cab view, things will look different to what was seen in Version 3.

An everyday mid-morning at Redfern Station. An XPT heads west through platform 2, while a 6 car NSW S Set pulls into platform 7 and on platform 10 a Millenium M set takes on passengers.

Just excellent Roy..simply stunning work. And I think I am qualified to say that. :)
Val...

Awesome work Roy. Your route is looking superb. I know how much work goes into making a quality route and you are doing yourself proud.
Thanks Baz, Val and Barisbeer, your appreciation adds to my motivation.
I am really enjoying seeing all of the high quality shots of new wip routes.

Awesome stuff everyone. I've been a bit of a break from Trainz and fired up my fictional NSW map today, to continue working on it.

Scratchy, that video is awesome! How do you get such realistic lighting in game?
Roy, Sydney looks amazing but we have to get the XPT done and released. haha
Graeme, Congrats on getting the map fully textured! Massive achievement!

Thanks Aaron for the compliments,

You said the magic word mate, ... I'm really looking forward to running a nice clean, updated XPT model to use on my 'under construction' Version 4 Sydney Central route.

I can wait,... but,.. I've only got a limited number of years left to enjoy it. lol How soon might that be?

Cheers mate,
Roy

Thanks Taggy, it's been a long hard grind over 15 months so far, but worth every second of it.

Can't wait to have a run on your finished product Graeme, looks outstanding! My favourite spot so far would be Wangaratta. Here we see XR558/XR555 with an empty grain headed for Oaklands powering up from the cutting...

There could be a few surprises around Circular Quay when I complete the upgrade to Sydney Central & City Circle V4.

With the great skills and wonderful support from vulcan, Sydney Harbour may be sporting two 'Lady Class' Sydney ferries, as well as, his City Cat.

I took them for a test-run today to make sure the 'old girls' still have what it takes. I think they felt right at home and can't wait for me to finish my route.

The ferries look brilliant and Sydney Harbour wouldn't be the same without them. I have stood in that same spot and took a photo of the bridge while I was in Sydney for a conference. Great work Roy.

Botanical Gardens in Sydney almost complete...Anyone fancy a jog around the park? There was a time I did this...sadly the knees no longer support the soul. Must admit I am pleased to advise my first session for Blue Mountains is finished. And it works !!!!

Cheers to everyone...some great stuff in the balance here....
