Is that what I think it is?

Oh my god, that must be my most anticipated model of the year. I've so been looking for a railcar to use to compliment the HPC units from TRS06.

:D Awesome.

As to your model plane, should have taken a camera, and sat on the main line instead :P. Would have involved less pain, and more results!

I wouldn't mind getting up to Fassifern to take some photos nowadays.

Incidentally, the pollies are running a special "goodbye and good riddance" run for the 620's in the near future, using a 4-car set to Maitland and back. I only hope that it's not on a work day, as I would love to get out there to photograph that!

You know, I just caught myself out staring at that shot for the past five minutes.
Lovely work.

Raichase,

How would Davido sitting on the main line be LESS painful? :)

Some Austrailian Trains look German, some American, Some English, stc. Why is that?

Well, the NSW Railways were based on the British model (which was pretty silly, given the terrain in NSW compared to Britan), and as a result, used a few British locos/designs. As the railways smartened up, they started using American designed locos, as they could better cope with the terrain.

Now days, the trains just go to the highest bidder, in the case of some, thats Bombadier (sp?) which is European (?), which might explain that.

Spiffy,

When our railways were being pioneered, there was a strong feeling of 'state pride'. Each of our separate states seemed to think that they had the best way of doing things, so they all had very different ideals regarding railway engineering.
Nearly every state used a different track gauge, so from the start locos had to be very different designs.
Some followed British practices, some followed America, and some followed Europe.
Also compounding the matter was our diverse landscape, with many states having to snake railways through mountains, and others having mostly flat plains. This in itself called for some very specific engineering work.
It was in effect a simple show of who was best, in proud colonial rivalry.

At least we got some pretty neat designs out of it!

Thanks again. I kind of thought that there was no Australian Train Builders so they ordered from other countries.

I remember catching the 2 car sets of these from Toronto Station, trundling across the Stoney Creek bridge into Blackalls Park,
then on to Fassifern and the main line to Broadmeadow to fly my model plane at District Park.
Then later making the return trip, with my model in pieces, propeller cuts to the fingers and walking the 3 kilometers home from the station............ Oh happy days :D:D

Pic removed, normally I wouldn't ask but I'm so awestruck that I want to ask something of you guys. I love the 620/720s, I know it probably isn't you're policy, but I would offer you guys some money to use it soon.

You guys tease us all the time with the content you're working on, the amount of abuse you put us through, gees I dunno, I'm gunna come looking for you guys.:'( :p

Col, you and I both.

You know, if it wasn't for the Cardiff folks teasing us all the time with these things, I'd have probably given up with Trainz!

You and me both.
I think that if it wasn't for the work from Cardiff Workshops I would have lost interest in Trainz a long time ago, like I have with many other computer games.

Regards,
Warren.

I still can't pick it Dave, they still don't look right. I don't know what it is:p
@ Grasshopper
If you're comparing them to the 620-720's that have just been retired from service they are slightly different.
Apart from the paint job they were fitted with different windscreens, had a cover over the front vent above the driver, holding tanks for the dunny's and ditch lights. Could that be it?

@ Colhad and other's
Don't clap, just throw money :D ........ maybe I'll try and make a limited function release to put you out of your misery's ;)
