Nice Job Steve. The pylons certainly looks better. I've already made a change of asset to my current project. Just a quick surveyor pic. Thanks again.

Hi James,
I've completed the stations, but still got heaps of scenery detail to do now. There are a few things I'm not happy with and I've got to address that.

Once that's all completed, I'll be merging my Sydney Central layout to it,... and then;
I'll need to re-install new entry and exit portals (18 in total) which will require new schedules to be written.

I'm one of those guys, who like to 'flick the switch' and then sit back and watch the whole layout run by itself. I can then jump from one train to another taking screenshots or videos of the action.

It's still a few weeks away.
Cheers,
Roy

I'm looking forward to seeing your route when it's finished. Some great work.

Cheers, Roy

Thanks Roy; it has been an off and on project for the last few years. Still a lot to do and content to make. It is slowly coming together but I do not know to how to import models from sketch up into game as there is a few needed in the project for base map.

If anyone can help, it speeds up my project.

Regards,

M.G

I know how you feel. There are heaps of models on Sketch-up that could be used, but I too have no knowledge of the process to import them into Trainz.
If there was a simple way, it would be nice to get a step by step tutorial on the subject.

Maybe someone might have a few clues that could help.

Cheers,
Roy

Hi Everyone,
Roy and Steve, those new bridge pylons look a lot better than the original ones.
Nice shot Stefan. I even know which bridge it was taken from, as I drove over it today!:hehe:

Just a few from me.

David, if you use heights from Google Earth or use a piece of the Main South DEM, it should then merge with my route with no problems. That will leave only Corowa and Dubbo as the only main branches not covered. Currently texturing at The Rock, but I haven't touched the Oaklands branch as yet. Good Luck with your layout, what you have looks great so far.
cheers Graeme

Hi Graeme,

I am using a DEM map provided by Jerker. So fingers crossed it can be easily merged once complete.

Should get a bit easier track laying now as this was the hardest of the yards being a combined gauge. I'm basing this of the 1938 plans for Oaklands.

Hi everyone,
Stefan, that cutting looks a lot more realistic.

Just a few from me around Yerong Creek
