Ive decided to show some pictures of my new route called Mingle Creek which is set in rural NSW in the period when diesal was taking over.

( For all those you have told me about my habbit of typing with capitals look im getting out of it:D )

Anthony, in regards to your 47 class, you may find that an Indian Red or "Tuscan" 47 will fit in much better with your overall theme. The candy livery didn't really come into play until the end of 1982/3, and steam was long vanquished by then.

Nice looking scenery though!

Ooooh, thats one lovely missing texture you have there. Not sure exactly how to fix it, as I don't know the texture's name, but if you can find out, it is just a matter of copying and pasting it from the boiler or tender object into the lead tender's folder.
I (Or someone else) will have to get back to you on that one though.

Yes, I thought it was that simple too. However, this only happens when I add another AD60 water tank on the layout.

I'f I run a single AD60 I don't get this problem. And it doesn't turn white straight away.

Last night I was running a layout for 30 minutes before it turned white.

I don't know if content folders are coded differently, but this is where it is in my directory:

...Auran\TRS2006\local\content lhflb837198\water_body

If you just search 'water_body' in 'local' you should be able to find it.

I can't see anything missing, and the CMP doesn't say that it's faulty at all.

OK. No one has posted for a long time here so i thought it was time to post again.

My shots are from a Newcastle (Hexham-Newcastle too) to Gosford line I made at the turn of the century:D using a road map and a ruler. But last night I was bored so I ran an Intermodal (empty) train with C505 and two NRs.

The train seen leaving Sandgate heading towards Warabrook.

Next shot is seen at Teralba

Dynamic brakes are on and the train rolls through Fassifern.

Last shot is a place that to all people who know about the short north know as "Hawkemount". Its basically is a steep grade between Awaba and Dora Creek.

Well the new version of this route should be a million times better;) and i ihave to admit, my line looks so terrible I might vomit:d
cheers, Daniel

To be quite honest Dredd, I don't think they could find a bone in your body that would be labelled "serious":D . Love the screenies though. Where are the red sets from?? Are they 04 or 06 content? Get a bit of room I'll add them to the list of must haves. Grew up with them clacking around the rails and have some fond memories of train trips as a kid.

So has anyone worked out the AD60 glitch yet?

Have you posted in the support section of the forums? You're relying on only Aussie boffins to answer it here, wheras you might get more help in the support forum - it seems to be a generic problem, rather than one limited to the AD60 model, so perhaps people from around the world might be able to help more! Good luck!

Can somebody please tell me why this happens?

And how can I fix it?

Hi JAMEZ001

This Problem is caused by the necessary texture not being included in the relaevant "Body" file for the water tank.

If in 2004, trainz goes lookling for it in the boiler part of the engine and finds copy. -------- Wastes RAM too do this.

In 2006, Trainz does not bother and just tells you too go fix it in CMP.

If you open the body file for the tender tank, you should find a "unmatched" texture.txt reference too a .tga file. Sorry I can't remember which one it is. Find the name of the .tga file.

Go too the boiler body, and you will find that file there. Copy and paste this file too the tender tank body file.

BTW I have Peter's permission too update this engine and correct these problems, but I have so much on my plate that they have not been dealt with yet.

Raichase is correct, if you post in the support section with this type of problem, you will get an answer quite quickly.

Hears a little project of my own. 'Wadalbavale' Main Line extension to 'Highland Valley 2004'.

Above is where the 'South Loop' at Wattle Creek used to be. Now it is 'Border Loop', a single line climb down the cliff face at an average of 0.94% grade which lasts just over 4500m. The steepest grade on the new extension is 1.24% which lasts for approx 50m at the start of the climb out of the 'Highland Valley' Main Line.

I tested twin 44 Class loco's with 360tonnes in tow for the full length of the climb, in cab mode. Not once did it need sand and managed to easy hold 50kph at half throttle. However bank-loco's may be needed for longer heavier trains.

The North Loop is planned to extend into a 5 block long fiddle yard with twenty-five 3km long storage loops and two 120ft turntables. The Northern Loop fiddle yard will enter Highland Valley at the Afton Mine Forestry, which will be extended to double line track to Stormont.

Note: All Highland stations are being renamed to Australian sounding names, or replacing their current names with an Aboriginal interpretation (where possible, eg. Highland Valley = Wolok Gunyjan).
