Australian screenshots

When Gmax crashes don't click attempt to save when it pops up as I remember Gmax always corrupting my projects when I did save on crash, another way I've found is load the auto back files as that'll have a save before it crashed.

Since I use 3ds max now it rarely even crashes, I believe it's crashed about 4 times this year so far and it's when I attempt to boolean cut a massive size mesh.

Cheers Aaron. The problem hasn't been trying to save during a Gmax crash. It's been where Gmax has run fine (as this wagon only requires pretty basic shapes). The file has just simply corrupted at roughly the same stage each time.
 
sorry I am very annoyed but just wanted to share with you all the quality of PM I get almost daily from trainz users.
Can I state I am away from home 3- 4 days a week often do not have time to drop everything and fix things to other peoples time table.

this might also explane why so many stop creating content - time to name an shame

if you all must know i am still learning things (and a thank you to those who have been kind and helped/helping me and taught me) and i do appreciate the work people do here but if they cant handle it when a problem is found with there product then they should stop making it. Here's some free information i have been taught by my family if you make something make it to its full potential not throw it together and that's that like most of you (i am guessing) my grandfather worked on the railways as a driver and he drove a 36 i have the photo so i want to respect his memory and that of all who poured there blood sweat and tears in the the real locomotives and so by having these engines of a poor quality to me says "i dont care about the engine or the people who made,maintained and worked on them" and look at your self your all attacking a novice someone who could use some guidance and knowlage someone you should be helping and teaching but instead just walk by then when one of your people complains about them you all jump on the inexperienced one you've shamed every train worker every ganger everyone who has a passion for the railway you've sullied your dads or grandfathers names i bet if you ask one of them if they had to teach a new guy to the cab they would tell you stories that will surprise you so maybe instead of attacking me for being new and inexperience you should try helping and teaching so then i would need to ask for help anymore
 
and as for my quality since i am still learning i have been making whistles they are not the best now but as i said i am learning which if you think back to when you started on trainz you had to learn as well so maybe cut me some slack

and of course you cut out the part when i was kind and asked nicely about a problem and you rudely "shouted" no how about you show them the full story not just the part that makes me look like the bad guy and you look like a victim for those who want to know the full story and not just half
i asked NSWGR_46Class nicely if he could repair one of his C36 tenders since like the other it sits to close to the rolling stock and the answer i received is as follows
"NO" now if "shouting" no to someone asking nicely to repair something isnt rude then i don's know what is

and as for what i said to NSWGR_46Class it is all true i have replaced alot of parts in all those locomotives and even asked people to help me fix them like the C30 for example had a backwards bogey, inaccurate whistle and a poor steam sound when i got it so i fix the bogey use a replacement whistle till i could find someone kind enough to make one or teach me and replaced the steam sound now its great steams well and sounds terrific as i said all it takes it some TLC and unlike NSWGR_46Class i don't stoop so low as to name names unless it is quoting or referring to that person

Perhaps a more courteous way to deal with the issues may have been to say
"I've found some faults with some of your content, specifically [name faulty kuids]. I have taken the time to resolve them to the best of my ability and will happily email the updated and corrected files to you for uploading as a new version if you so wish." That would have probably avoided this whole issue.

Yes I did reply "NO" to one of your PM's and maybe it was rude but do tell the people how many PM's and for how long you have been harassing me and raging on about the content as well as the silly statements like DavidO is doing a better 36 class and VIctrainz content is better than yours so lift you game.

It is rather simple if you do not like the content, do not use it your welcome to go find something better.

the only time i ever get upset is when people start on me
i do respect people but respect is a 2 way street and with you sometimes it was only 1 way
i gave you respect complemented your work and used it in DCC but when it came to where i could use CAB MODE proficiently most fell to pieces so i did what anyone else would do and asked for help just to get disrespected and i know you and everyone else is busy and i never demand for anyone to drop everything and fix it right that second i can wait since i am still working on my route,testing parts of it and setting the consists up and if you or anyone is to busy to do the work i can do it all i need is to be told how so instead of going off at me you could have said "i am not home at the moment and wont be for a while and since you offered to to the work your welcome to all you need to do is (describe what to do or send me a link to a video) and it should work"
 
M60, the victrainz content and content updated by cowra loco to trs 12 is exactly the same. I should know I have the meshes, some were updated others had the config fixed. I created amended/updated all of the meshes Dave fiddled with the config to get it to trs12 standards. So if you want to have a go, have a go at me, as Dave said if you dont like it dont download it. I look forward to your first release of content.

ps, I have never made anything cab enabled, I dont build cabs always used the generic auran ones, have a go at auran.
 
Fellas this thread is called "Australian Screenshots" not "Australian Cheap Shots". I would hate to see the thread closed because of a juvenile flame war - there have been far too many of those lately.
