Australian screenshots

I have allowed for every possible combination I am pretty sure that green C36's ran on the Central West Express
As far as I recall no belpaire boilered pig was ever painted green in NSWGR service - all were in the standard black with red lining. 3616 was painted green in the early 70's by the NSWRTM for its final year or two of restricted traffic service ( the most recent contemporary shot I have of her in steam , taken on the 12 dec 1970 she was still black) , and of course 3642 was also painted green when overhauled and returned to service in the 1980's

*Edit - have just gone thru some more pics: a trip to enfield in jan 1972 shows 3616 was green by then, so she was repainted sometime during 1971

round top boilered pigs, yes - belpaire's no - by the time the reboilering program was under way during the 1950's the NSWGR was even painting 38's black. Pity they never got round to putting that boiler on a Nanny tho - that would have been an unusual variation!

It is good tho the see that you've finally got an up to date pig into trainz Pete's old model was definitely showing its age!

Jamie,

Sorry mate, no I don't. Had it once before and it caused too many issues and didn't like it so it got deleted.
Thanks for explaining the colours. The DEM is a great idea for getting it right.

Dan.

I'm curious as to what things are pointing it to be TS12...

I see only one thing really, and that's the TS12 version of one of one of the gum trees in the last pic.

Everything you see in the screenshots is either available for TS2010, or would work in TS2010 if released for such (some of it will be restricted to TS12 SP1, as it'll be released via the new DLC system). Even the smoke effects would work in TS2010, although the script doesn't work properly pre TS12 SP1 (not sure what I've done there...). There's even no shadows, due to time of day, so self shadowing isn't visible either...

I should point out that I have greatly increased the fog settings to accentuate the weather for these screenshots :)

Zec,

I don't know much about Victorian Locomotives but I must say they look very nice mate. I particularly like the smoke and steam effects! :)

NSWGR_46Class - I've found a problem with one of your tenders for the C36s.
On the "NSWGR C36 Tender Black Lined" the bogies are off centre, and its really off centre.

Thanks for the good indication of how many people download updates.
I had a feeling by the amount of emails I get from people, there are many a bit lapse with this type of thing, you would be amazed by how many people ask for a fix that is already on the DLS.
Got my stuffed why I bother to do updates.

Oh and its best to send me a private message or email about this things as most others do, gets quicker results as I do not always visit the forums only knew about you post as some one messaged me.

what's wrong with the version of 3616 that you have downloaded why is in red on your MAC ?????

Oh, 3616 is only red because when I had taken that photo, the dependancies were downloading.

-Eno Silvie.

Well that is Good News - the MAC version of trainz must be better than PC whereby you can be downloading dependencies and in Surveyor at the same time !!!
I did stuff up the description of the 3616 - its not a 38 class at all ????

Careful, I know a few people who would kill if they saw the description with the stuff about the 38. Enthusiasts these days are nuts...

Zec what stockyard are you using in the 1st shot here

Cheers,
Patchy

Good Evening,

@Patchy - I beleive that stockyard is built into TS12. I found it by going into the bit that has your splines such as the roads and fences. There I typed in stockyard and it came up.

-Cheers

Little bondi

P.S. - More updates on the Beaudesert Branch soon, work has been extended to Jimboomba.

I am experimenting with some textures on these locomotives, which can be adapted to all (or most anyway) of my created locomotives with easy and little extra work. Click these thumbnails below for a bigger picture:

which can also be used for dusty, grimy, rusting, abandoned in yard locomotives etc. like for example this crude dusty one below (which still needs much more refinement, only testing this at this moment):

In TS 12 Mojave Sub:

Still needs more testing and work, I only created these an hour ago but one can see the possibilities of these tests. I am sure I can find many more uses with these textures. What is your opinion?

Cheers
