The Sydney Harbour bridge that is being displayed in Garahbara1 post is from Sketchup and is faulty to the fact that the 4 main arches run through the roads and rails so your cars or trains must go through the RSJ arches of the bridge and there is also a cross-member RSJ bean that chops the top of all buses trucks trains and the list goes on so if you want something faulty by all means get it,but it would be like running a train through a platform everytime you crossed the bridge either way.
This is part of the reason for why i spent 9 months building the Sydney Hardour Bridge.

Looking good Garahbara1! Are you going to upload those to DLS? they will help alot with my new layout I started on the weekend.

Not hard to guess what it's based on.

Looking great.

This is where I've got up to. The route is courtesy of Phil Manning (Western Route) which runs from Central all the way out to Emu Plains and Richmond. Just brilliant work by Phil, I must say. Signalling and all. Trak direction markers and all. You send something off to Emu Plains and it goes where the real ones would go. So 95% of it was done already. I've put my "artistic licence" to it and remodelled Central, (the best I could with what's on the DLS) Redfern and Strathfield with AJS invisible stations where the train stops in the middle of the platform or end (depending on terminus or through setting) rather than one carriage off the end. (using "Drive To" and "load"). Also putting trams and "carz" and ATLS traffic lights in front of Central as well. Also re did a bit of signalling at Central to keep AI trains out if a train is already in the destination platform. It takes about 2 hours to populate the route with AI trains from portals, and ends up with about 60+ AI trains running around. Had it go for 17 hours so far without a hitch.

I did try the Sydney Central Station that is on the DLS, however the platforms are not structured correct. ie. distance between platforms (to allow for the third track etc)

Watch this space if you'd like to take a run from Central to Strathfield in the cab of a XPT. :udrool:

Alan. TOOT!

Gess I through he was just sending requests to me as he like me, seems he was harassing many

not sure he knows I already have Tasmanian locos on the DLS
Yes, why? I hope you're still not trying to bug him about 'your' Tasmanian locos. Vinnybarb is very busy and his life doesn't revolve around Trainz.

Has anyone Heard/seen from Vinnybarb Lately .?

I am having very bad health issues presently, hence not much further progress has been made on the G Classes other than as said and shown previous here. When I feel like continuing on these, I will.

I am also traveling periodically/frequently (living in the Mid/Upper North of SA) to Adelaide for treatment which is boring, cumbersome and a burden. Please no pity or sorry posts/answers as I know what I have and I also know too well what might/will be in front of me.

I do not want to sound too melodramatic either but there is no way anymore to a betterment for me, its only downhill from here on. For how long? Your guess is as good as mine.

Sorry to sound so negative but I just came back home from Adelaide's RAH with very bad reports and results.

Mostly likely that people didn't know about it.

By the way, where did you get that Sydney Harbour Bridge please, as I can't find it on the download station? I've been looking to move it, um I mean add something similar to a layout.

I'm not sure, but I think Bendorsey was looking for something similar.

I think near 2 years or more ago i asked Bendorsey if he could build the Sydney Harbour Bridge for me, Ben said he would look at it but but he needed measurements, at that time i was trying to find out where i could get them from which needed security clearance to obtain them , i spoke to a friend of mine in the supreme court and i got what i wanted, but within this time i came across the Google Sketchup version of the harbour Bridge that is displayed by Garahbara1 to which i also displayed over 12 months ago along with the Sydney Opera house and Luna Park Face.
At that point in time i stated quite clearly where i got it from Google Sketchup and that i had edited it. So because of a few things that was said i decided to build my own Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Bendorsey PM me and ask me how i did the bridge because of it's size, i told him i had to break it down into a number of section that would allow the Ruby program to export to Trainz.
and now i am thinking about making it freeware as i have covered my costs on having to buy the license version of Sketchup to build payware.
And i do thank all of the people who have purchased the bridge from me.
there is more than likely many people out there who would like to build there own version of the Sydney Rail Network and they can't do it without a proper working version of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
that said i will look at releasing the Sydney Harbour Bridge as freeware Saturday morning.

Vinnybarb,

I too was thinking I hadn't seen you around for a while a was hoping something drastic hadn't happened. I know you aren't well but I'd like to think that cyrenne009 was asking about you in the same context as I am.

On the bright side, the DL's are working up ****eloads of Km's be it in the shafts of freights or the head of Garbo and stone trains on my lines! :)

I have had a few emails since i posted about the Sydney Harbour Bridge being released as freeware, asking what version's of Trainz it will go into and could i release it earlier than saturday.
It will install into Trainz 2009 World Builder, TS2010, TS12, and all service Packs and updates thereof.
I built it with Google Sketchup so it does have a very high poly count but something the this size and detail will have a high poly count.
As for releasing it earlier, i would like to go and fix and add a few things to the bridge first and i am planing to do that tomorrow, so saturday is the day either morning or afternoon depends on what i get done to it tomorrow.
My version of the Sydney Harbour Bridge can not be used for personal gain or profit, nor sold as part of a route or sold as an asset for a route to any person, My Sydney Harbour bridge is not to be uploaded to any file sharing or asset sharing sites without my explisit consent }.
The config file can not be altered in anyway other than the Sydney Harbour Bridge colours, you may change these colours to suite yourself.
However copyrights remain the property of Stephen davison Trainz user steve123.

there most certainly are some of these models, however using 3D Warehouse and RubyTMIX is generally not a good idea. Most of these buildings could be done by anyone with enough skill in ~20K polys or less, and with much higher resolution texturing and sharper mesh shapes.

Nice work Cook

By the way, there's a lot of track work that needs fixing up at central, and the fact that the UK Catenary is too low for Aussie standards in trainz.

Also, awesome work with the G Classes Vinnybarb

Ahem... meanwhile, an NA pulls into Enjee with a mixed train...

....Just saying, a great number of additions have been added to that NA using sketchup and the Sack and wood loads for 2 of the 3 NQs pictured were also made in Sketchup, all imported into Trainz with RubyTMIX.

Cheers

Thats the Espec. Azervich made an NA espec and put it on the DLS you can use if you can't find it: VR nA Class Enginespec - TS09,<kuid:404079:1017>

Stevo

That e-spec is still under development, and may not run correctly if your using TS12 as I built it for earlier versions to deal with that 'free energy' which has been mentioned several times over the past month, I didn't know about the free energy and tried to make it keep the boiler under control without it sticking the safeties.

I also need to overhaul the brake pressures with it too.

Cheers.
