Is the texture there, and if it is, is it the right size? also is it saved as a compressed or non compressed tga?

The texture is there as a Bmp
I'll go back and check the size
I've fix plenty with this error in the past but this one is not going to plan

Cheers,

This should work just done it,Make sure you got Pevs PM2IM
Open up in explorer, open left and right passenger door im with PM2IM through the file tab and make a new IM
Then open content creator plus and check ,they should not be red any more, Commit
It will come up faulty again,it will show Tag Icon, go back into CCP and delete it
Fingers crossed this should work:confused:

Version 2.5 of Pevsoft's PM2IM does not have the option to have 'strip textures' ticked, and I don't have an older version to revert too

I dont see why the texture is causing the problem as most of us use it to shine up wheel surfaces. The copy I have here is 256 x 256 and works fine in trs. Did you load it as a cdp? Has anyone tried importing it from an earlier version trs rather than loading it from a cdp?

Hi Pete,

I believe it's to do with the material naming, the m.reflect, older versions of trainz would ignore the material naming if you typo'ed it, I sometimes typo without knowing and don't find out until I commit and get an error saying it couldn't load indexed mesh, for example I'd type it as main,m.tbumpenv when it should be main.m.tbumpenv, if you look closely I used a , instead of . that's what I mean by typo, using strip textures fixes the material naming, that's why random assets on DLS have that error, some of your older content also had that error too which was fixed by some people with the DLS clean up some time back when TS12 first came out, it was mostly your bogey's that had it with a few assets.

Hi Mulie,

I see, I have V1.13 installed, I wonder why Pev removed it.

Cheers.

he probably removed the strip textures at the request of content creators to stop unauthorised retexturing
That just might be true - he used to have a tool that allowed Gmax to open IM files - which would save many of us who have lost mesh's due to the gmax bug and hard drive crashes but alias pressure made that go bye bye to :(

Hi All
A couple of notes here...

This issue is commonly caused by incorrect use of a texture in a material (e.g. if you add a texture to a slot other than 'diffuse', 'normal' or or 'reflection' in the material editor), or by using an incorrect material name (e.g. not using the .m.tbumptex, or similar, material name suffix when you have a bump map applied).

The 'strip textures' function in PM2IM simply removes these incorrect textures (aka, the textures in the wrong slot, or textures not needed by that material type) within the material. It did not provide any method of re-texturing the model or similar, it simply strips the textures that cause it to become faulty.

As to the removal of the function, you'll need to ask PEV about this.

For the content, we may look into the 'legacy' content (built-in from TS2009/2010 essentially) in future, possibly as part of a future 'pass' of the DLS clean up system. However we do not have an ETA on when this might occur.

Regards

Thanks Zec - any tips on fixing the doors on the Silver City Coment Set ?

I better do a bit of work, Dave, who has just caused a major security alert by not checking the alarm state before entering a secuirty area
