Tutorials are there to help you get familiar with the program, you then use the skills you learnt from the tutorials to build what you would like to. The tutorials are not instructions to build a particular locomotive or carriage, that is yours to build on your own with diagrams and references...

I still have that same house that i made many moons ago and it still works ok apart from a obsolete trainz build number doo hicky error. Stick with the simple stuff and work your way up.

That route was originally mine, labeled as NSWGR Itldo, built way back when, its just had its trees and track switched to 'better' stuff.

Over the last couple of months I started a project of making some genuine Aussie scenery items. Aussie stockmen on horses, cattle dogs, and Aussie people. Also Brahman cattle. The first part of this was 3 Oz windmills. What response did they get here? Not much, the standout and maybe the only response was a rather abusive post that they weren't available on the DLS. Thanks for the hours I'd put in making them. Now started on an Aussie digger war memorial. However I'm really wondering if there'd be all that much interest in any of these given the attitude here that if it's not a loco or at least a piece of rolling stock it's not worth much at all. I suppose people are content to keep on using cowboys and farmers in overalls on Oz routes. Very depressing really. this screenshot hasn't anything to do with this post just a route I made with crap speedtrees. If there's any genuine interest in this project I'd like some response otherwise I won't bother.

Mate keep doing your scenery item's and Put them WHERE ever you want,

Some people can be a Gaint pain in the rear when something is NOT built to suit them and put on the DLS.

If you make what you think is lacking for Trainz some will download it and it dont mater where you put it, ( But a link to where its uploaded is all ways nice )

I did down load your new Windmills they are great, Sorry i dont have a screenshot as i have been busy makeing some items i think are needed but some people dont want


DON'T be Discourage if you don't get any responce to a screenshot that you post of the new item's some one will like and Download it

I have downloaded the Brisbane Valley Line but it won't appear in routes. I have checked to make sure it isn't on favourites and I have even typed in the search. I have gone to content manager and right clicked the route and pressed download, but it highlights the name red and when I move the mouse over it it says "Unknown Content Error".I have gone and right clicked the route and clicked "View Errors And Warnings". When a route has missing dependencies it will show up in CM with a yellow puzzle piece next to it. Depending where you got it from there should be a link to the 3rd party dependencies not on the DLS. If not either get searchin' on Google or tough luck...

rbar thankyou, Now I think I have solved my puzzle, I do beleive kent got some items from other places. So annoying. But still with, or without all the dependencies I beleive a route should still work. I have a few routes were I run on at they still have missing dependencies.

It will still work, it will just be missing A LOT of content on the route, such as textures, splines and track. If it does not work there must be an error/errors with the CDP. In your case it would appear that it is running an old Build number, from memory this also should not prevent it from showing up in your routes list. I would predict it was not installed correctly...

Falcon, without scenery items all these great screen shots would not exist, and i have quite alot of your work on my little test layout, yes it is good to have locos and rolling stock but without scenery items they are just a collection not a railway.

p.s. i must admit i only download stuff from the DLS as it is easy and no searching the internet is required, but you are the creator and you post them where you like, again thanks for all the items and work you put into them.

I have gone and downloaded all the assets from the urls he placed on his thread with some of the dependencies that weren't on the DLS and I have downloaded every single object on the DLS that is required AND IT IS STILL NOT WORKING. I am really anoyed. I am now taking serious action .

i have used some of your items granted some do not have a place in the city scope, by all means host them where you want as a creator of maps we need to list where we got things so that the end user can find them and easily grab them, and anytime you have items you want tested or opinions on shoot me a pm and i will happily give it a look over.

I am really anoyed. I am now taking serious action .

Excuse me, don't go after a creator for this, no one else has reported problems. If you are having issues, take it up with the creator rather than attacking them after only an hour or two of not having any success. If you are unable to get it working maybe you shouldn't download routes.
