yeah all that info is in the two books i have, one written by ARHSQ Rosewood and the other by Greg Cash, at the moment i am trying to establish the locations of the bridges along the branch, then the next major step is to determine where the stations will be placed. If i may recall, during the construction of Kent's Brisbane Valley line someone picked up on the fact that one of the stations (if i remember correctly it was Yarraman) was out of position on the route ( i am not putting to Kent to shame here, i'm just using him as an example). So i just want to make sure mine is a near "replica" of the branch. Then, after all of this comes the major task of laying the track, getting the gradients correct, constructing the topography correctly, then scenery and all the rest of route construction.
I am open to others advice. If any of you have any tips on laying track with gradients and also know how to correctly position it, please dont be afraid! help is always appreciated
Cheers fellas,
Pat
Patchy,
I have been doing things on the qt with Trainz. I am slowly working on the Western Line.... At this stage I am working as far as Chinchilla. I am not sure when I will be wanting to release or what to release (how long a section). The line Ipswich to Toowoomba was going along nicely but the comp crashed and I haven't felt motivated since to redo the sections that need to be redone...
I will keep plugging away on the western line and may have a Beta for you in the not too distant future if you like.
