Australian screenshots

I See
I was assuming the first two numbers would identify the class
I'm not a fan of electrics but those locos look simple in design and proberly served thier purpose well

cheers,
patchy

The 46 class were a very good locomotive built by Metropolitan Vickers in England. Built of solid steel they could stand up to any punishment and, from personal experience, are the preferred locomotive if you're going to be involved in a collision. They weren't comfortable but they would keep going until they just couldn't pull anymore.

I have to correct you there, Its authentic. Page 94 Destination South Brisbane publish by the ARHS Qld Div/John Kerr and John Armstrong first published 1978 has a very interesting image. If one did it then there is a chance others did, if one did then its Authentic. For the record the shot shows BB-18 1/4 1026 working a South Brisbane to Lota service in 1967. Also several southside car sets were made up of what they called scrap sets made up of older or replaced northside suburban cars or country cars.

A couple more of the BB18.25 and earlier mainline B18.25 on the Southside. Not sure how many here purchase "Sunshine Express" magazine published by the ARHS[QLD]. The January/February 2012 edition P.17 has colour shots of B18.25 #230 on the Gabba turntable and BB18.25 #1025 leading a goods out of the Gabba with trolley buses and tram background.

As for my personal experience of a BB18.25 at South Brisbane terminal; Try BB18.25 # 1079 on 5 August 1978 with the ARHS/QLD farewell to South Brisbane as a stub ended terminal. That day we visited Cannon Hill abattoirs with the wig wag crossing sign, out towards the at that time shortened Cleveland branch, Beenleigh [yes, we got there due to the new Logan River Bridge!!] and Corinda via Tennyson. Good day as usual on those historical trips :D

I might mention the rail limits on the Southside in the steam era; All heavy locos allowed [Beyer-Garratts, ASG, DD17, C19, BB18.25 etc] South Brisbane to Kingston and Manly thus several pictures of heavy locos in that book Trainz89 and Ghosty mentioned, including a BB18.25 on the Acacia Ridge branch with a train of GMH cars. No turntable at Kingston so heavy tankers there but turntable at Manly. My reference "Queensland Railway's Steam Locomotives 1900 - 1969" By John Knowles http://www.railshop.com.au/prod27.htm

Awesome. Yeah they look a bit too "g-max-ish". Hope you can smooth them out a bit and make them look similar to the the realism of the V-sets :)

Very nice screenshots Dave. I like it.
