Annual Jan Workshops Report 2012

Hello Everyone,

Just a bit of a new release from QGR-QHR Trainz, and its a much wanted QR Steam locomotive and its a personal favourite of mine. I have reworked Greg Cash's BB18 mesh, with prior permission and consent from him to do this. I am planning to do the entire class original, 1935 redesign with seadan cabs with C19 style tenders and 58 1936 built engines will receive alpha numbering and my own QGR Steam Destination Boards [ which includes Brisbane Suburban, South Coast Railway, NCL & Other Destinations used by steam locomotives from 1945 to 1961]. Here is one of my models in the shops compared to the real thing.

Recent (and old) action around QR. We start with a now long extinct scene of a 3900 hauling SX cars from Roma St to Mitchelton

Flashback to the late '80s, and a DH sits behind the Doomben platform while shunting the area

Now for some later scenes, with an EMU heading to Doomben this evening

Love your work Ryan. Spot on! I still remember riding in a SX set behind a 3900 class.

Not all of DavidT's work was builtin and not all of DavidT's work was released under his user name either, in the early days of trainz it was quite common to use a nom de plume for content.

Hey Bear

my memory is a little different to yours mate :)

I helped Davidt with the research on his engine. It was a 442
The 44 was built in already in the original Trainz release and was built by the development team at Auran, and pretty certain that was Uncle Rob at that time
David also worked with Pikkerail to build the 47 Class whilst learning the art of 3D art and building :D
Cheers

G'day!

I haven't posted here in a while so I thought why not show off what I've built so far. I recently read a bit about an old 1067mm line that ran from Sulphide Street in Broken Hill for an estimate of around 50km North to the locality of Tarrawingee.

Would anyone know what type of stock would've run on it?

EDIT: Found out the the line was operated by the Silverton Tramway Company.

Cheers! :)

Jake.
