Naturally, one has to play with the new toys available. Great work with the V-Sets Davido, love 'em! :)

Caught this stray one a little earlier traveling along the wrong line, although it looks stuck now due to the lack of power. The location should hopefully be recognisable for you Sydney folk.

Is it Granville?

Is it Granville?

It is the Wolli Creek area. The double track going underground is the Airport line, heading toward the underground part of Wolli Creek Station, the other two tracks go to the left of screen and connect to the Illawarra heading towards Sydenham.

^^ Spot on

According to the indicator board, this train is for all stops to East Hills (seats are a little low, lol).

@#&^%$ SHUNTERS !

Hey again fellas.

Here is DH 52 working a petrol train with three QLX cars full of butter, milk and cheese to Hill's corner, some 80 odd k's away from its current location.

Dieselpatt,
Might I suggest that when the shunters marshall the train in future, they put the QLX's up near the loco and the petrol tanks to the rear. Makes the crews a little nervous with all that fuel so close. We used to call them "petrol bombs" and it wasn't for nothing.

Glen

Yes, I was thinking that too Lenice. Lovely shots though.

I know NSW liked a wagon between the loco and fuel tankers but I have seen several pictures of QLD trains with a string of fuel tankers right behind the loco, both steam and diesel.

The matter of fuel straight behind the loco has been the subject of several long discussions on Railpage and similar places, so there seems to be several conflicting different understandings of the rules amongst the wider rail community.

That picture of 1520 seems to show a left hand drive diesel yet QR was right hand drive? Maybe it is the cab that comes with that loco as I have not downloaded that one.

The use of QLX cars for butter, milk and cheese could suggest the more usual ice chilled cars were not available that day?

Cheers

Deadly.
Great to see your work progressing.

Previously you have shown us work in progress on station walkovers (lifts and stairs) including a beauty some time ago.

There is nothing like our station walkover units on the DLS - and I'm wondering if you will be releasing any of yours seperately for us to use on other stations.

Appreciate you work.
Cheers

And even better, your working on my old line (lived near Bowral and transferred at Macarthur) :) have you got it all the way out to Macarthur? is it DEM work?
Yeah, I've got a little further to extend it south from there to Glenlee.

I didn't have access to DEM when I started, so I instead did it all off the longitude/lattitude data available on Google Earth. It's fairly accurate with positioning of points, signals, stations etc. which should all be within a couple metres of their actual locations.

Most of what you have seen will eventually be released, I'm unable to say when that is at the moment though. Some of the earlier stuff (Ingleburn Station) became corrupted which is a shame.

QPSR PB15 448

Good Morning Everyone,

Well, I am very much impressed by the return of some Qld content on this fourm, maybe a queensland revival in the air like the good old days.:p
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the workshops of QGR-Trainz; a very very special locomotive to my heart has been built just for the Ipswich line and i have dedicated to my fellow collegues at QPSR whom I have a a heartful admaration for. This is a custom model in Gmax, both locomotive & tender were handmade from scratch NOT a remake of the Auran PB meshes. Let the drooling begin...:hehe:

Michael, is your PB15 in both SG and NG ???? After all the original Loco was in NG and never in SG. There are some people who like to create routes to represent a certain time period and as the PB15 was never in SG this then makes it hard for some to use your version.
