I have the 60 class book and the only issue I remember of 60 class locos and tunnels was the issue of crew being exposed to extra fumes, hence the horn gizmo on 6011 to assist with ventilation( not successful), mind you I may have missed the single tunnel issue, but i would have thought the loco would have been built within the loading gauge constraints. Will have a look to see if I can find it tonight
cheers Pete
Matt, could it be the 60 Class book, I've defiantly heard that somewhere aswell.
This is a small selection of some of the trains one might see just standing at Maitland station for half an hour.
(All these trains appear semi randomly, well the two Intermodals were straight after the midday Up and Down XPT's)
If there are too many shots, tell me and I'll remove some.
Daniel
Oh Hey Peter C, great to see you around; hope you could get in some screenies.
Back in 1961; Roads were still non-existant or very dangerous, so thats why most people took the train. Here RM 2000 & 2001 pass a unforuntale soul who has a burst tire.

Hello Michael G
The screen picture below dated 1961 has a motor vehicle with a number plate. I can not determine that number plate. What exactly is that number plate, please? I assume it is the Southport QLD line.
Pete, I believe the number plate reads
NVA 435A
Which is impossible in Vic, we have 6-letters on our plates

Ronayne, thanks. The route is a WIP of mine, and that loco is an AN, found on the dls by Vinnybarb. It's a great model!
Evan, when I get home will send you diagrams and pictures of QR End-Platform carriages AX, BX & CX & a Van (later converted in the late 1920's to Long-Distance Carriages- AL, BL & CL) I love history...I get A's in it![]()
Hey all,
I'll probably get in trouble posting this in the "wrong" forum but thought
it'll look good here, I want to show everyone this and for feedback as I'm lacking photo's.
Been working on this locomotive for a few months and going to try finish it off during the summer.
It's a 1877 Victorian Railways locomotive, I'll let you try a guessing game on
what class it is.
