Axe, love the shots mate. Let's keep 'em coming guys, i need the motivational boost.
Matt.
You're into NSW right?
Well, I've got something in the works which you may like...
A small route I've been fiddling with, called 'NSW Coal Route' (haven't thought of anything better.:hehe: ) It was originally somewhere to run my modern NSW content, but I'm thinking of making it my first upload.

It involves an open-cut coal mine, a yard, and a powerstation (might change to a port.)
This is the yard, the platform in the top left corner is going to serve a town with goods. The loco shed (not the roundhouse) in the centre is going to be a grimy service facility.

This is the open-cut mine, I need to add a few more buildings to the facility. As for the mine, some of you may have seen my thread asking for help finding mining equipment? Well, I've got some good stuff to complete the mine, and it's currently my main focus.

Now for a bit of driving, NR8 (in PacNat Yellow), 4888 (still in FreightCorp livery) and NR 51 (still in its NR livery) haul 30 PacNat NHVF wagons through the loader at the mine.

After trundling under the tipple, the driver increases the throttle, and the assorted motive power slowly drag the 2970t train up to 40kph (which is the limit, they're now passing the sign for the 65kph segment of the route.)

The locos are in a stride now so it's alright to power up to throttle 8. The train thunders into a tunnel, loud and proud. At the other end of the tunnel, the speed picks up to 80kph.

A good shot of all the locos here, the route has no grades, so it just sits flat and cuts through all the small hills. It avoids the large ones, and twists and turns to try and stay on the level land.

This shot further shows the 'avoid-rises-and-cut-through-small-hills...iness' of the railway. It also shows the back end of the train, which is also good. At this point, the train is up to, and staying on 80kph.

Stockman's River Bridge, the locos are cruising along across the muddy river. You can't see any power lines here, because I haven't worked out how to get them across the river...:hehe: Any ideas? This is about the end of the completed (term used loosely) area of the layout.

Well everyone, I hope you enjoyed the shots, I've got to get back to this mine!

Thanks,
Mitch
P.S. Just on the side, Mitchey, that derailment was ages ago!:hehe: I think you showed me those pics on MSN?
