Axe, love the shots mate. Let's keep 'em coming guys, i need the motivational boost.:D

Matt.

You're into NSW right?
Well, I've got something in the works which you may like...
A small route I've been fiddling with, called 'NSW Coal Route' (haven't thought of anything better.:hehe: ) It was originally somewhere to run my modern NSW content, but I'm thinking of making it my first upload.:)
It involves an open-cut coal mine, a yard, and a powerstation (might change to a port.)

This is the yard, the platform in the top left corner is going to serve a town with goods. The loco shed (not the roundhouse) in the centre is going to be a grimy service facility.

This is the open-cut mine, I need to add a few more buildings to the facility. As for the mine, some of you may have seen my thread asking for help finding mining equipment? Well, I've got some good stuff to complete the mine, and it's currently my main focus.

http://img41.imageshack.us/f/mitch456yui201006020001.jpg/

Now for a bit of driving, NR8 (in PacNat Yellow), 4888 (still in FreightCorp livery) and NR 51 (still in its NR livery) haul 30 PacNat NHVF wagons through the loader at the mine.

http://img180.imageshack.us/f/mitch456yui201006020002.jpg/

After trundling under the tipple, the driver increases the throttle, and the assorted motive power slowly drag the 2970t train up to 40kph (which is the limit, they're now passing the sign for the 65kph segment of the route.)

http://img59.imageshack.us/f/mitch456yui201006020003.jpg/

The locos are in a stride now so it's alright to power up to throttle 8. The train thunders into a tunnel, loud and proud. At the other end of the tunnel, the speed picks up to 80kph.

http://img214.imageshack.us/f/mitch456yui201006020004.jpg/

A good shot of all the locos here, the route has no grades, so it just sits flat and cuts through all the small hills. It avoids the large ones, and twists and turns to try and stay on the level land.

http://img72.imageshack.us/f/mitch456yui201006020005.jpg/

This shot further shows the 'avoid-rises-and-cut-through-small-hills...iness' of the railway. It also shows the back end of the train, which is also good. At this point, the train is up to, and staying on 80kph.

http://img291.imageshack.us/f/mitch456yui201006020006.jpg/

Stockman's River Bridge, the locos are cruising along across the muddy river. You can't see any power lines here, because I haven't worked out how to get them across the river...:hehe: Any ideas? This is about the end of the completed (term used loosely) area of the layout.

http://img690.imageshack.us/f/mitch456yui201006020007.jpg/

Well everyone, I hope you enjoyed the shots, I've got to get back to this mine! (And I have to do my English homework.:hehe: )
Thanks,
Mitch
P.S. Just on the side, Mitchey, that derailment was ages ago!:hehe: I think you showed me those pics on MSN?:o

Uh, duh.. Of course i'm into NSW! How could you ask such a silly question? You think i'm into QR? Shame on you, Mitch, shame on you!

Your pics look good. I know what you mean when it comes to naming routes; not too good at it myself. I like the concept for your route, as well. Nothing to complicated, just link two industries together; it can always be expanded later on.

At the moment i'm 'trying' to do something similar, with very little in the name of real progress. Oh well, i push on regardless. It will get done eventually.

Thanks for sharing the pics, much appreciated.

Matt.

:o
It was a rhetorical question, yeah, that's it...:p
Thanks, it's about 20 baseboards long, so it has a decent driving distance, but not too long so you get bored and go to bed. I'd certainly like to see your route, got any decent pictures?:hehe: Not trying to force you along, I'm just interested.:)
Thanks,
Mitch

I put it to the group that jackford2009 has worn out his welcome, and we just ignore every post that they make. Clearly they are only interested in trolling, and the sooner they move along the better.

This is so true iam just over them iam just going to move along as normal. If they dont want to show support to learners then why post any thing.

Mitch, at the moment, i don't have any screenshots to post, however if you browse back a few pages, i have posted a few that should give you an idea of the quality of my work.

Davido: Hahahhahahaa - love it, as usual, quality work from you and Natvander, and kudos to both of you, for your quality content. I for one, shall be forever grateful for the wondrous creations.

Jackford2009: Do what I do, start with small, fictional works, doesn't matter how big or how small, we've all got to start somewhere. Me? I love designing fictional 'abandoned' country routes, or ones that look like they might see a train, say, a dozen times a year. Why? because its what I like to do. I would love to build massive, complicated and detailed 'prototypical' routes - alas, I personally lack the imagination, experience and knowledge (not to mention the GMAX abilities to create scenery items) - but I know from experience at trying, quality routes take months, if not years; to produce, if the creator wants something truly 'outstanding'. So, my advice, look at how others design stuff, experiment with just weird and wonderful ideas - look at trackplan maps for stations/yards and above all - have fun, its what its really all about.

jackford, If you had read my post corectly i offered advice. You asked at the end of your last post how to post pics so I told you but don't thank me. I won't start a slanging match here but suffice to say, don't worry I won't do it again.
