Australian screenshots

i know but its not a force ment order is it no mate its up to them if they want to do them or not i am trying my self but need tips on how to easy do land scapeing same as google earth u have any ideas iam trying to work out the way they use mapping ioline to do there routes valleys and hills and every thing

You started your post with "I need some one with a good route building kills to make... << list of routes >> "... how does that translate to needing tips??

You've spammed the bejesus out of every NSW/CityRail related thread wanting this that and other... repeating yourself across multiple threads whilst dredging up some that haven't had posts for more than two years.

With all of that... there's been no "please"... and you've caned this particular Screenshots thread without actually posting a single Screenshot.

I'll tell you now, you're not going to achieve much by doing this. In fact you'll probably just get annoyed yourself, because members are going to simply end up ignoring you and your near-incomprehensible (spelling/grammar/punctuation) posts.

I apologise to all for sounding like a nark.

Jackford.

Fair go Mate You have posted your wish list in at least 10 different threads spread over 5 different forums.
I don't think you will get much respect from Route builders if you persist with this approach;it has been suggested already you attempt to tackle some routes yourself ,start with a small map and learn as you go along, maybe then you can gain some knowledge about just what it takes too undertake the number of routes you wish for.

Please dont bother me no more thanks

i was just trying to ask and get tips and that route were there if any one wanted to do them. They were just ideas poeple.

I i was not forcing it on any one and i asked about good route builders for tips for me as iam new.

But younger train lovers are just pushed away!!!!.

Plus i have no idea how to use Gmax.

Jackford: Read how others conduct themselves, and we will gladly respond in polite manner. For now, I'm ignoring all of this.

Anyway. We all love those old Tassie M and MA class steamers which are no longer available, right? I'm trying to bribe them into freeware, as well as the creators progress on the Emu Bay line.

If it doesn't work though, don't you think we deserve at least one nice mid-size proto Tassie route?

I'd be willing to do the DEMs and texturing and basic graded mainline track if someone can provide me with grade data. I'll need a couple of weeks, as I'm moving over the next week or two.

But, would anybody - especially those who know the line - be willing to turn this into a group project?

I love the idea. The line seems like it'd be a hoot to drive on, and I think I remember someone is working on the Queenstown - Strahan railway. At some stage they were linked at Strahan... Another interesting notion.

As I said, I can do the main 'base' work pretty quick when I move into my new place and fix my good computer. Using both Bing and Google Maps gives accurate visualisation for the whole line, aside from some frustrating clouds.

So, does this sound worth acting on? I'd be lush if at least a few people willing to actually lay the detailed track that I can't be stuffed doing and put in some hard work. If photos are made available I can make some representations of structures and infrastructure.

I would advise a transitional period, steam and diesel for the sake of ops and funzies.

What say y'all? I think it's about time.

James

Jim,

What about posting the Tassie expression of interest in the Community or Freeware Forum under it's own topic??

Might get some more visibility if it wasn't hidden away in here (??).

Just pictures......

I once told you that it was good to see you being keen and eager. But There is making a map and making a map. Anyone can knock a map together how it looks and works is another matter. If you want decent maps like the ones Axe Patchy NormP PGibbons and the other mighty fine creators make, well i will let you into a little secret to achieve the great end results they get is not by rushing. Good maps dont just appear overnight the evolve over a period of time. We all started where you are now, we had a go and if we got stuck we asked nicely for help or input. jackford there are some very experienced hands in this community that dont mind helping if treated with respect. People will help just dont rub them the wrong way. Also i think everyones aware of the maps you would like to see built but for now just site back play around with surveyor and learn how to use it. You never know maps you wish maybe in planning if not you maybe able have ago.

Jackford,

I think its time you either settle down or leave. You are acting like a spoilt brat. This forum is for posting piccy's and and new content that MOST people are grateful for. The people who make this content do it through enjoyment and we are very lucky if they release it so we may also enjoy it. As for routes, as has been said before, they take alot of time and effort somethings that most don't have a lot of due to having a life. (Work and family)

I take it that your only a young fella who doesn't understand but if you want to post here, show some respect and stop with the gimme pig rubbish. Things are released when they are ready and not before. So, sit back, relax and enjoy all this wonderful stuff around at the moment!

Oh, and another thing. You posts are really hard to read. Please write your sentences properly.

Now,

The daily Xplorer crosses a local tour heading for Cookamurra.

Well said Ghosty......

Perhaps good maps can appear overnight ......... to the majority!

Sorry to offend viewers for using 04 for this experiment lol. This far off fictional place is not a topographic DEM terrain as it appears, but actually as many of you know is a displacement texture.

It's not what you see with trainz, it's how you use it. (Read the manual and then produce the results).

Cheers

:)

I put it to the group that jackford2009 has worn out his welcome, and we just ignore every post that they make. Clearly they are only interested in trolling, and the sooner they move along the better.

...for starters, they don't fall off the rails!!

hehehe :hehe:

Also Raichase, in regards to your more recent post regarding jackford, perhaps it's right... or perhaps we leave it and see what happens. If jackford reads these posts, he may realise what to do. Perhaps another chance should be granted? If then, jackford wears out his second welcome, then we, as a community, can decide what to do.

Where I work, there is a great saying when something major goes wrong. Almost in unison everyone says "Wasn't Me!", Great picture though :)

Cheers

Works pretty much 99.99% of the time in the railways. Its just that .01% of the time that it IS you that is the problem.:hehe: Me thinks that is Acacia Ridge Mitchey?
