Hello all,

After losing all my Trainz data due to my PC deciding to 100% trash its HDD. I decided to grab Trains 2010. A few screen shots of my route in progress ( Which I back up everyday now)


4504 has shuting duty this morning.

Weee...

It took 5 hours to lay 11km worth of track (Holsworthy - Beverly Hills). I haven't fixed the terrain nor done any signalling. I'm not going to include the Kingsgrove to Revesby quadruplication in this as it isn't yet finished in real life.

There is only another 7km until I reach Wolli Creek where i'll stop building. That section is going to be harder and take longer though because it's four tracks instead of two.

Petrie - Caboolture (Re)Opening

Hi all

Petrie to Caboolture opened today, completing the suburban network (plus a few more lines).

Heading up the Dakabin Bank, the old, pre electrification alignment can be seen in a few places crossing the current line.

Narangba station

Departing Burpengary, the overhead for the removed facing and trailing crossovers can still be seen.

Morayfield Rd, wisely built with quadruplication in mind.

Departing Morayfield, the huge shopping centre can be seen on the down side of the line.

Immediately after crossing the Caboolture River, we negotiate the crossovers to platform 3. The old alignment can just be made out in the background.

Welcome to Caboolture. The dignitaries have already headed over to the bakery across the road...

Waiting for the return trip.

Meanwhile, an IMU heads north (or at least to Pumicestone Rd LC...)

I can't wait to get a Tilt up to those speeds...

So that's it, next is a bit more NZ to build, and then I continue the relentless push north.

First of all, JOB WELL DONE!! You have captured that route beautifully. I could see everything as it is exactly, even down to the one in four sleeper job that was done on the road a year or so ago (how's that for detail folks!!).
I do wish that you would release this to the DLS as I know there would be many takers for this route, me for one as I would love to show my daughter what it is like to ride on one of "Dad's trains". I understand you have your reasons for not doing so but I still don't quite understand why. However, keep up the good work and will look forward to seeing your push north. If it continues to be of this standard then we have some spectacular screens to look forward to.
