Australian screenshots

have not seen one of these on the dls, I have set it up so that you can run an articulated set of container flats from 2 cars or more. there are three cars in the set a leading center and rear car, or for 2 cars you can have leading and rear

I also like Muliebuck's yards, well thought out. I would be interested in a copy as well, though I think I may slightly change it for the purpose I am thinking of.

Pete, those cars look great.

Excellent stuff Pete - if you do a search for "RKKY" on the DLS, someone has made the NRC RKKY 3-pack articulated wagons, which operate in a similar manner. The more articulated wagons the better though.

I forgot to mention, those 'yards' of mine are built in TRS2009, so you will need that (at least) to use them.

Pete, those container flats are looking better and better - I'm sure they'll find many a use :)

Wow looks fantastic :D please escuse the ignorance but what is a masalling yard? How many base boards is this on? :)

Thank you

georgem, I think you would call it a shunting yard. It is usually a yard with many roads that inter connect where trains come in and either drop off wagon strings or pick them up. There is also usually a captive loco that is used to sort the wagon strings for the out going trains or shunt the incoming ones with a bored to death crew onboard.:hehe:

P.S. Good work guys, keep it up.

Pete, the 35 looks fantastic. Will it have some outside cab views? They're always a very nice touch. Excellent work as usuall.

bigman. That is great. We need more modern rolling stock plus I am a huge fan of your work. Keep it up!

Ideas, ideas, ideas....

Thank you

georgem,
Just poked around in Google Earth and I believe you may have a yard near you. If I got your location right from your sig, there may be one on A38 Lichfield Rd near Barton-under-Needwood South West of Station Rd B5016. Or it may be a locomotive stabling shed. Just found a better one. Just souuth of Sandiacre. A52 goes across the north end of the main line into it, there are pictures from someone on Google Earth near it and it looks like a big yard. It looks to be at Toton. The M1 is near to it also.

Bored to death hey Lenice? Like the crew of 7F09 (Brisbane shunt train) I saw sitting at Normanby one day, come back hours later, she was still sitting there, idling away, and her crew looked like they'd rather be anywhere but there that day :)

*edit* if anyone wishes a copy of this yard of mine (designed in TRS2009), please drop me a PM and I will send them the route.

Thankyou for your research, I'll head up there sometime. :)

Are you absolutely determined to freeze all our computers up with the level of detail in that bogey?
