Guess who got tickets on the Ghan for Christmas, leaving on wed 30th and arriving in Adelaide on the first, new years eve on train too. Maybe lots of pics if any ones interested in doing and models from this.

Thats really cool, Alby6! I leave on Monday on the XPT. First Class (been told its a waste of money), but it's hardly comparable to the Ghan! I must say I'm a little jealous. Have a great trip! And yes, photos please!

Have fun!

Thanks Ghosty!

I took the XPT to Melbourne with my family when I was 10. The train was an hour late into Sydney and 2 hours late into Melbourne.

We clocked 30km/h (the speed limit was 90km/h, if I remember correctly) in Northern Victoria, because if the train went any faster, it would buckle the tracks as it was 42 degrees outside. On top of that, the air conditioning in our carriage broke down.

So yeah. I'm expecting a slow journey. Its partly why I picked First Class. I wanted to be comfy. :p So I'm taking my Camera, iPod, Laptop and DVD's. Its all well and good... Until my laptop goes flat.

Thanks again, Ghosty!

Cheers

Is this re-skin available...? :)

No it's not. :( The model isn't mine and is still a beta - I'm just playing around with texturing right now. Don't have much time on my hands anymore.

It's not right anyways. It was more of a 'what if' than anything else!

Once I have some spare time (like that'll ever happen :P ) I'm going to be cleaning up and finishing off the X'Trap in Connex Liveries (there's a couple of variations :) ), plus I'll do the Metro/semi Metro, and even the 'testing' liveries :)

But that's a while away yet, as I've got a couple of priority projects at the moment :)

hi mitchey
try doing the trip in the 70's
you had catch the brisbane limited from south brisbane then at sydney wait 9hours to catch the southern arura or the day light express depending on what time you got there

then at melbourne board the overlander to adielade
but what brilliant trip 3 days
alby don't over indulge on your trip

cheers n beers,

Well. Ho-bloody-ho. Merry Christmas and all from Edinburgh.

I've always hated reading posts like what I'm about to make, and they always sound silly. But here goes.

I've had an uncle kill himself this Christmas, and I'm also on suicide-watch for my great Polish friend and House-mate, Kashka. She tried to off herself last night. Again.

I thought that perhaps after my holiday in Morocco I'd get enthused about making content again. Real life has killed any interest.

So, for anyone waiting for me to finish my QLD or NSW locos, or for me to finish my new slab of Eucalypts for '09 and '10, or the Zig Zag or Blue Mountains line, sorry. I simply do not care, and real life has gotten in the way. A shame in my eyes, as I always enjoyed making things for such a great community. A shame I was never good at finishing nearly-complete content, also!

I doubt I'll be releasing anything anymore or work on my content. Will keep watching the forums, as it's a bit of an addiction. But I'm 'signing off'.

Hope everyone has enjoyed the festives. Hope people keep making great content.

James

You can use the shaver socket to charge it I think :D

That's very sad news James, my condolences to you and your family. You are certainly having some serious problems to deal with at the moment. I can understand your loss of interest in Trainz, however dropping in here from time to time may give you some relaxation time and maybe the Train "bug" again.

Until you next visit take care and look after the most important things in your life .... your family.
