Australian screenshots

David, the DOO isn't on the DLS at the moment. I am currently working on them, and when I am finished, I will upload them to the DLS. As Col said, the DD is a modified version of the 2100, whereas the DFZ is the 2300. The DD is a loco I am also working on, albeit slowly, as I need to make some major modifications to the body to allow for the short walkway and steps behind the cab on the left hand side of the long hood.

Col, I can also simply move the running number plates to center them properly. I'll take a closer look at their positioning and fiddle with them a bit. Are the bogeys under the 1550 dirty enough for you?

Hi Col,

Loved your screenshots and your work on the locos.

The above one really took my interest as it shows a set of junction levers on a stand. Where did these come from? Can you post the kuid number please.

the 1200 class were based out of Mayne for their entire career. They initially worked the Sunlander Sunshine Express and Mail trains Between Brisbane and Cairns, they also worked the Westlander.

A C16 is indeed a 4-8-0 locomotive, and had little in common with the PB15. The C16's, however, were what became the C17 class, hence the reason why the C17 cab is similar, if not the same as the C16 cab.

Chris, I don't think dirty bogeys is a major issue. If you can make them, great, but if not then let it go.

Only do them if you want to Chris.:)

Heres my website address showing the DFZ's and the DD's in WA:

DD's:

Also there is the ex QR1500 class?

There are 2 AD (ex AC) classes 1520-1521 (ex QR1513-1514)
I have only got the one AD or previously know as AC running at Bunbury, in WA

I've done my best with those. A DD class is available on the DLS but I can add the DD suffix to the cabs. I actually did the loco before the real ones came to be.

Also not 100% accurate but close enough will have to do. AC or AD as they are now.

Looks Great,

Here is an attempt of a DFZ which i did a while ago...

DFZ2404.jpg

Since then i have changed the bogies, hornsound and even the engine sound.

Ill have to take a screenshot of all the dfz's that i have done, since some have a sticker on the cab sides (eyes of the street)

Cheers

the item in question i believe is by natvander and i think is built in.

cheers

Thanks Ghosty, I found them in 2009 as 2006 is no longer installed. They are built in and by Natvander, so will have to remember these when Noel (nbrettoner) and I upgrade our layout.

QDR has now adopted Col's shade of Blue screens soon .........................;)
Yes I feel my shade of blue was a bit out so I kindly helped myself to Col's R.G.B values ....the fleet was recalled for a paint job overnight
I have also fitted Col's 1225 skin ...Looks good Col I did some more work to the rear of the 1225 yesterday under the guidance of my researcher Ghosty.
Heres the new scheme.................

They look great Dred, all I did was an eye dropper on a photograph of a 1200 class. The blue can be a difficult thing to get right as you have to take into consideration the light and also the age of the photo.

If you take a look at all the QR locos done for Trainz, they're all diffrerent shades of Blue, who's to say who's the most correct.

I believe, from memory, the RGB values I have used in my Diesel Blue scheme are the original colours. However, after seeing them so clean for so long, I need to dirty them up. The cleanness is sickening me...
