Australian screenshots

I wonde4r if they have anything to do with the floating gum tree...

Oh yeah... You need TC3/TS09 Tom... Will make that scene look much better, being able to see the stuff under the water and all...

Nice shot Lesley, but I must ask you a question:

What are those green... things that are poking out of the riverbed? The closest conlusion I can arrive at is that they are some sort of alien egg, and our evil overlords are close to springing their trap on humanity.

I for one welcome our evil alien overlords.

I think those are rocks Ed. Evil Alien Rocks.:p

haha you all know my secret about the aliens [evil laugh here] :p
Seriously though, I don't know how that gum tree got there :p
Hopefully everything will go well putting this route into 09....

Hi all,

very nice screenshots are being shown by all, much appriciated.

A couple of screenies from the Lockyer Valley, showing the interaction

between trucking and rail.

Nice trucks but the high angle photos show the tyers are wrong - you need to put a line down the middle of your texture so they look like there is 2 tyers most dollys and road train tyers are dual wheels . The super single tyers used on a lot of trailers these day are quite a bit narrower.

Same goes for the drive axels of the truck -

Hi bearcat245,

your comment regarding the tyres have been noted. It was one of my "to do"

things but maybe next time.

Of course you can always use the build-in trucks (the middle one) as shown

the no tyre version ;) ;) . (tongue firmly planted in cheek).

Cheers,

Bill.

well noted
but when you are doing a route using DEM it can be challenging to use what you really want to use
believe me i wanted use those stations, but because of no height adjustments with said stations they just sometimes don't sit properly in the area they should be.
now before everone says why don't you flatten the ground,it causes alot other problems e.g. grades get out of wack, cuttings appear where you don't want them and banks, and generally it dosn't look good.
my opinion anyway
anyhow enough of my waffling for now

cheers,
patchy

P.S. keep up the good work everbody some of it looks VERY impressive

QR C17's

How come youve used the same image of a C17 to represent 45 and 705?

Also ARHS never ran a tour to Pinkenba in January this year as mentioned in a previous post, could you be thinking of QR Heritage operated "Steam Train Sunday" which runs March - November?

Questions Become Answers

I will answer two of spacemarine88's question's

- My QGR C17's MVHR QR C17 No.45 Was At The Same Spot 2 Hours Eailer When I Took The Screenshot & When I Took The Later Screenshot of QGR C17 No. 705 It Was 2 Hours Later At The Same Spot. The Locomotives Have The Same Mesh, Assets But They Have Different QR Running Numbers & Headboard Destinations Like No.45 Has Imbil And No.705 Has ESK.

-Sorry About The Error's On My Post About Riverboat Whistles, It Was Ment To Be 18th Of May 2008 Not 18th Of Januray 2008, It Was Ment To Also Be QR Heritage Running A Steam Trip To Pinkenba & I Will Think Before I Post, Sorry!!.

Awe shucks Bill, I was just going to ask
"where do I get......." (in a small weedlingly-annoying schoolboyish accent,
full of "I can't think for myself...")......

((Noel thinks feverishly to himself))...
[Oops. Peoples are watching me. I might be in deep water here. And much hotter than warm!.
Some 1 might be off-ended. By my construde-as-wude-wemark].
Oh dear!.
:o:'(

Thank you Bill for what appears to be (accused or suspect) a ramp of exemplary beauty & fortitude. (Pretty good mate). :hehe:

Hmmm, started on a Queensland route. Three boards have been laid so far, the town of Grandchester (doesn't resemble the QLD town one iota) has been constructed.

A fruit and veg siding that serves the local growers, a disused siding that was cut off in the late 60s from the main line are some of the features.

A few screenies with a DH hauling a small freight consist away from the Fruit and Veg siding.

Hi Colhad,

Looking really nice. Those houses look the part too, eh. :)
And the sad touch of that tree smack bang in the centre of the old siding brings to mind a certain similarly-sized tree immediately south of an old crossing in Finley NSW.
Right smack bang in the centre of the once very much alive Narrandera_Tocumwal branch line.

Great work Col

:)
