Hi all,

Is anyone aware of any signals on the DLS that are similar to these from Gosford (and the Short North). At this stage I am probably going to use Elstoko's early colour light signals, even though they are not quite the same. Also using Searchlight signals for the single lights, again though does anyone know of more prototypical NSW single lights from 1960?

The Redcliffe Line: I'm putting together a 'Steam Excursion' which will run from Kippa Ring to Lawnton, then return, using a polished QR Beyer Garratt to tow five passenger coaches from 'yester-year'.

Just departed Kippa-Ring Station with a full load on board.

Passing the lake at Mango Hill

On the return journey the coal tender leads.

Thanks for the kind words. You got me Mick, its actually my Pilbara route, as proved here by 3 SD70s heading to Karratha. Yes these ore cars were created literally 15 years ago.

Greetings from the North!

About 1 & 1/2 hours into their morning shift, an empty heads out towards the pits of the Central region, somewhere just past Grantleigh and the town of Gogango.
Crossing is a 12-odd thousand ton loaded headed for the Gladstone ports.

The Redcliffe Line,... The QR Beyer Garratt was playing up so NSWGR kindly loaned me #5909 to fill in for the day. The train enthusiast pensioners will be happy with a cut lunch and a nice train ride.

Meanwhile NSWGR 5909 from Kippa-Ring meets up with QR BB18 10015MG on the Caboolture line before cruising through Petrie Station.

The QR BB18 Petrie in the final leg of the freight run leading into Lawnton.
