SOON TO BE UPLOADED! - QR B15 #299

Good evening all,

Soon to be uploaded on the DLs is this wonderful locomotive. This is a QR B15 #299 which was proudly made by Trainz89. I am proud to be a beta tester once again and will look forward to posting up some screenshots of her in action. This locomotive has had hours of work into her and has a lot of detail. The QR B15 #299 will be on the DLS soon. Please ask me ( LittleBondi ) or Michael ( Trainz89 ) if you have anymore quistions.

-Cheers

Awesome Tom! Love the good old Westrail Orange Livery!

Cheers
David

Thanks mate! Been meaning to ask you David, you wouldn't have any photos/history of the old Westrail liveries would you? I can't find too much info on the different variations and everytime I get on to flickr I find a new version of the thing :hehe:

Awesome stuff David, thanks heaps! Exactly what I needed :) Looks like a few are still in their original configuration just with ditchlights added! Got an endless amount of liveries to do haha.

Thanks again mate!

No Worries Mate!
I think there was a discussion on a WA forum that the L classes have had the most livery's applied in their lifetime. Looking forward to seeing the end results. :)
Now they are appearing in the Aurizon livery too.

Cheers
David

Just a fun little junction. 5 boards so far.

Looks pretty sweet so far. The NG platform should probably be lower and the broad gauge tracks would get the brick station (next to the main road in nearly all circumstances) and the NG platform would get the waiting shed

Jamie :)

Actually, Jamie, the more famous Victorian Narrow Gauge line's original terminus (Upper Ferntree Gully) had a station building equipping both the BG and NG sides of the platform with full facilities (well, almost, as can be seen here http://members.ozemail.com.au/~telica/Images/UFTG_station_cropped-and-adjusted_c1955.jpg ) The track does need a raising though, the rule would be to have the side steps of the passenger carridges about level, maybe slightly below the edge of the platform. If you keep the whole NG half of the yard at this height, and the BG at 0 it makes the whole yard easy and accurate to build :)
The other option is to go pre-1910 style and just have no NG platform, as can be seen here: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rLaQb-9gq..._mfT_Lah1Q/s640/UFTG+Royal+Hotel+(1900)+9.jpg (those wagons on the right are NG NQ wagons, the BG tracks are next to those on the camera's side.)
Its a great start so far, Trainboi :)

Cheers

Chose a great loco to build then didn't I :hehe: I'm on to the rebuild versions now, starting with the 31 Class...

Looking good so far tom! Do they have Auto Numbering?
These ones had some names on didn't they? When they came to WA they lost them in the end.

Cheers
David

Thanks David! A bit undecided on the auto-numbering, I will for the Westrail versions however I might make these separate due to the names. The ATN/PN versions are separate due to the fact theres only 4 numbers and I've made each specific to the prototype. Still got a fair bit of work to do on these ARG versions but getting there...

Great shots all!

Recently upgraded my comp, and after getting all my content transferred over decided to test the capabilities of my video card by running a few of Vinnybarbs 93/93 class locos together, a situation that my old comp wouldn't take without serious stuttering. Happy to say that I can now use these beautiful locos with no problems.

Anyway, love the locos, VB. Keep up the great work all.

Matt.

Those pics have prompted me Matt. PacNat in Queensland use a skeletal (my definition) type container wagon with the designation RN??. They are an A/B type configuration with a permanent coupling between every two wagons. Does anyone know, just out of curiosity, if these are in Trainz??

*pics removed by me*

Hi Matt, good to hear that now you can enjoy my creations the way one should. Great screenshots there too :).

(OT)... I am busy at the moment playing an old space sim called "Frontier, First Encounters" from way, way back in 1995 but still getting my adrenalin pumping while playing and therefore momentarily forgetting my health problems. Anyway....

Soon (TM) I will proceed to finish the G Class locomotives and start with the BL Classes, in case anyone likes to know what is happening with these (I know I promised these to be released much earlier).

Just to let you all know I am still alive and kicking :p.

Cheers

VinnyBarb
