If you never finish them, it will not worry any of us because we know you have health issues and we know that Trainz has got to be fun. When it is no longer fun, or when other things are more interesting, then that's what we should be doing.
Get well mate and if you return to the DL's , well that will be a bonus! The rest of your creations are bringing untold pleasure to many thousands of trainzers around the World. You have done very well, and we thank you for all of it.
Now concentrate on improving things and enjoying life

Been working on a different type of NSW Safe Working Hut and once finished and if i can work out how to get the PSD into a format folks can then make change the colour or texture to better suite their needs all on the DLS of course.

Hi Mick,

That hut is looking good. It looks well textured. :)

Regarding the PSD issue: Looks like you need a file format that saves layers, am I correct? If so, Paint.NET has a .pdn format that saves layers too. With Paint.NET being a free program, I reckon including a .pdn file to aid reskinning is the way to go.

Kieran.

Kieran thanks for the reply mate but what i meant sorry was i have to learn how to include the PSD i made with Photoshop into the CDP on the DLS in a different format name or sumthing so when folks download it they change the name of that file and it becomes a Layered Template/PSD again for them to change as they see fit. I've seen this done before and not sure if it's actually allowed or even wanted by the makers of the game but yeah if that's what you meant in your reply mate then i will have to work it out.
Cheers Mick.:)

Hi Mick,

This answer may be more helpful now that i have a better understanding of what you want:

Try opening the asset for edit in Explorer and place the PSD inside. Then commit the asset. Then, when you package the asset into a CDP and upload it, the others who download it and edit it in Explorer will see your PSD inside and will be able to use it if they have Photoshop.

I have not tried this and CM may reject the asset once committed if the PSD is included, but it is worth a shot. :)

I also don't have Photoshop to try this out.

Kieran.

The PSD has to be renamed to a different format Kieran inside the CDP and once downloaded folks open it up for edit copy that file to sumwhere else and then rename it back into a PSD Format so they can change it to their needs. I'll provide a Tut on how to do this properly once i work it out myself if it's needed, CMP rejects PSD's if placed directly into it as they are, I've seen this done before so i just have to work out what the name is mate..lol. Trial and error i spose.
Cheers Mick.

Mick, that is a nice little hut :).
It is somewhat reminiscent of a Swedish hut, as they looked at one time, but they were usually painted red.
