Good Morning,

Jake - I love the screenshots, probably one of the nicest screenshots I have seen of modern diesels. Keep up the great work Jake.

Great work everyone, keep it up.

-Cheers

Great shots Jake! Inspired by the Hunter region by any chance? :D

Love the containers, where'd you get those from?

G'day Taggy!

I guess so, it's mainly inspired by the area around Bathurst, the place I live. Your Georgetown to Tarin Rocks route has also motivated me to build my own large mainline route, so this is the beginning of mine.

The containers are from JointedRail. Avaliable here: http://jointedrail.com/index.php/freeware/rolling-stock/products-loads/weathered-containers.html

EDIT

And another:

Cheers!

Some more point of view experimentation.

Edit - Draw distance acts funny in cab mode. Don't know why.

Cheers!

Jake.

Very very very nice work Young Mr Jake good too see you posting sum of your amazing talent mate keep it coming. And it was Axe1970 who made Georgetown To Tarin Rocks which in my opinion is one of the best Aussie Routes out there. And Ax doesn't mind you modifing it which is a real bonus.
Cheers Mick.

G'day!

pics removed by me...

Cheers!

Jake.

Hi Jake, as the creator of the 9300 Class you are showing there in your pics, it concerns me why these headlights and some marker lights too look so large and bright in your screen shots? They look normal on my monitor(s) in all versions of Trainz the locomotive(s) were created for. Yet the ditch lights look normal and they use similar configurations as the marker lights.

Why would they look different in your screen shots or are others seeing similar in their routes operating some of my created locomotives? I need to know if this fault is created on my end.

Cheers

Hi VB,

I can't answer for Jake but I know when you zoom the camera in from a cab view, it cause headlights/markerlights/ditch lights and signals to go like this. I'm not sure why though.

Hi Vinnybarb
The effect is simply due to the way the screenshot was taken, not an issue with the model itself.

In this case, they're actually in a cab view (using the -freeincam function to move the camera to the desired location), and have then zoomed in to give a 'telephoto' effect. Unfortunately, zooming in will make corona's appear much larger (intended to make signals more visible in the distance). Some corona's look better than others (e.g. the ditch lights simply look like a starburst, whilst the others look like big 'blobs'). For the headlight, hitting shift + L to dim the headlight can work quite well to improve the pic.

But there's not much you can do as a creator to avoid the effect, although that doesn't mean don't give it a go as there may be tags in there that will help :)

Regards

Hi Zec and taggy, thank you for letting me know why this is the way it is. I got worried that either I configured something wrong or the TS12 SP1 and/or their Hotfixes were doing this.

Pfew... got me worried there for a while .

As a side note, I have lost my interest in creating for Trainz, hence my DL Classes I am working on (in my signature pic) are still unfinished. I guess a case of Creator's blackout or something like that plus other, health related issues. Sorry perhaps some day.

Cheers

VinnyBarb
