The beyer garratt that kent posted above, I havent seen that one before.

The QR Beyer Garratt is old Trainz version 1.3 content made by dreddman - it's easily found on the Download Station (as long as you have the 'Trainz' box ticked when searching on the 'Black Pages'). However, due to it's age, it has a lot of problems and errors if used in latest Trainz versions, but I do believe there is an updated version by chuffbuff available with such problems fixed.

Saving you a DLS search, here is the latest version for 2009 and up (it's in three separate parts that each show up as an individual 'loco' in game):

Boiler: KUID2:103179:31611:1
Watertank: KUID2: 103179:31613:1
Tender: KUID2:103179:31612:1

I think there is also extra dependencies required in the form of separate bogies that also need to be downloaded, but Content Manager should pick them up easily enough.

Just about Kents beyer garratt, Enkidoh mentioned problems if used in the latest trainz. I have trainz simulator 12 wich meens it would have problems. But what tip of problems does it have. is it glitches time stuff or running, boiler, brake, tender problems. and If I did download it and didn't take it for a run down the line it just sat in the shed, would it still have problems.

-Cheers

From The Commissioners Note Book; Travelling First Class

Hello Everyone,

To all the Queensland Lads, keep up the champion effort and I personally look forward to downloading the content to add to my database to use on my routes and my collegues here at Q.H.R Trainz.

@Patchy, throw me an email as I got a few PB15's that worked the Newstead Branch, and will be uploading shortly, as PB15 from my knowladge did most of the shunting on the wharves into the woolstores, and sidings.

@Kent, I will be releasing a NG version of my QR PB15 444. Hope that helps.

@Littlebondi, did you ask for a PB15? Well here is one. QR PB15 444 - which is on the DLS double heads a QR B17 with a stock train.

As school has been drawing to a close here, and assignments came and gone. Its the end of the year, to relax and for me to finally get back to uploading a few bits of content. I have been focusing on completing my Queensland Railways End Platforms & Sunshine Express - Mail Train Pack.

Here are some preview screenshots on a segment I like to call "Travelling First Class' of two carriages that will form part of the two packs.

As of tonight/early tomorrow morning 3 of these CSR Class derivative locomotives including 2 versions of the Bradken Class will be available from the DLS, the fourth unit, the CSR/SBR Class is already uploaded and is waiting for approval from N3V Games.

with further pictures and text here. The one unit not yet on the DLS but possibly available tomorrow from the DLS is the CSR/SBR Class locomotive, the first of 4 units which was only unloaded on the 5th November 2012, just 3 days ago in Adelaide, Largs Bay (Inner Harbour) SA. Only for TS12 at this time as scripting is different for TS09/10 to TS12. The TS09/10 version might/will follow any time soon TM.

Enjoy

Looking along Macquarie Steet about 1966 Cheers, Patchy

The Nambour sugar train should be along soon which should sweeten up the forum. (Sorry about the pun)

Late edit; for those not aware, the CSR sugar refinery is down that way and at various times it received raw sugar from the Nambour Mill by rail.

@Petan, could you please find some information on Queensland Railways Circus trains, as I am wanting to be historically correct when I release them. It would be good addition to the trainz as a novelty.

Cheers
Michael

Enki made it quite clear that the pre/original 1.3 build of the asset in question was only suitable for the earliest versions of trainz and was used up until trainz build 2.4. A modified version of this asset is available on the DLS under my user ID for use with TS2009, this gives it more leverage to perform with the latest trainz builds thereof - including TS12.

LittleBondi, the original version had a number of bugs in the config files which mostly stopped the loco from appearing in Railyard and Surveyor/Driver, hence it couldn't be used (it wouldn't even appear - it's three components were listed but could not be placed in a consist - it was literally invisible). I remember having real trouble getting it to run in 2004 - mostly involving using Tafweb's excellent third-party TrainzObjectz program to error correct the content over and over again, as well as some manual code tweaking in the config files. Eventually though they did work, but it was only after a lot of trial and effort.

In any event, the latest version released by Chuffbuff I posted earlier would have those annoying issues solved, so it should work perfectly in 2012. So don't be hesitant about downloading them. :)

Also, the original creator was not Kentith but Dredmann, and Chuffbuff fixed them for the lastest version of Trainz. I just want to give credit where credit is due, as the QR Beyer Garratt is a beautiful machine no matter who released it. ;)

P.S. excellent shots everyone. Especially, awesome work with the new CSRs Herb. I didn't even know there was a deriative version - I guess it's true you really do learn something new everyday! :D

EDIT: Haha, Chuff you beat me to it! :D

Hi All,
