OK .... you want response for TANE.

First let me say I am just a player...I build a bit...but I enjoy just building driving I am not great with teckie stuff......

But....loading TANE has been awful ( I had all your previous trainz never had issue......I cannot play at this point, certain things don't open. And don't say my PC isn't good enough because you sent by email an early TANE and what I got worked. The DVD is just not good on loading. This takes me into 'fixing' things. I want a product that works not have to fix it.

What I have got does not allow me to edit and build. What I have got as a selection is nothing like previous games which had usa Russia china etc....

I bought the version with extra lines apparently got me 6 month downloads...NOTHING? DO HAVE TO SEARCH FOR THAT?

Overall terribly upset how you released this and unless you are into building loading fixing its not playable.

I have been a fan for years........but this has been nothing short of very very disappointing

With reference to the 6 month First Class Ticket, click MyTrainz, then Download Tickets, then First Class Tickets, which will then give you access to the ticket.

As for the editing side this is a change from previous versions but sessions can still be edited and created for the built-in routes.

I would recommend you contact N3V's Helpdesk if there are problems with the disc so they can send out a working copy to you.

some of us just want to play the game, and all this fixing and bugs completely baffles me and puts me off.

Hot fix? etc nothing is simple..i just want to pay for game I can switch on an use????????

I know what you mean - at the moment there is a lot of testing going on by certain members for the upcoming patch.

The built-in content should not require any fixing to actually use it, but any content imported from other versions or downloaded from the Download Station may require it if the creator has not released an update to fix any errors (and some creators are no longer with us or active Trainzers).

Trainz has always been fairly complex in some areas due to the nature of it although some users like me are trying to help make things easier through tutorials etc.

I get it but Trainz has never been plug and play and I doubt it ever will. It's not a console game. Just reality.

I have a little problem, I bought the DVD version TANE. During the first installation, everything worked fine, and patch the game as well. But since then I had to reinstall Windows, and doing it in the game. I do not know to patch ingredients and will not accept while there is no patch included. My TANE version build 74794. Please help my problem.
 
I have been using Tane since it came out and really like it a lot. Hotfix has fixed the crash to desktop issue and now I'm a happy camper. I really love that I don't see distant objects poping up now as in previous versions of Trainz. And the new effect are great. I like to drive an route before sunrise and watch the sun come up as I driver along. Having a lots of fun and I expect it to get even better as time goes along.
 
When I was logging on the questions site I noticed it does not use my login for this site. I had to register a new account for the questions site. Would it be a good idea to link them together?

As far as I'm aware they are separate systems so I'm not sure if N3V are able to do what you've asked.

Interesting how I have little to no problems with TANE, but then again I run Mac OS...

I also run OS X, 10.11 (El Capitan) on a Macbook Pro 13" retina (early 2015). I am sad to say I have been very disappointed with TANE. Even on base settings frame rate is slow, controls are sluggish, graphic detail is poor, detail is missing and artifacts evident. Driving is frustratingly difficult due to slow response to on-screen controls (I am not talking about physics, just point, click and move!).

after a lot of faults and complaining see below, I haver run TANE with hotfix2, and using a simple test track circle. still many faults, screen capture would not work to capture the long stream of faults, lady bug report.
so after some email feedback I got a rely to try out another, it came to me as TS15_windows_simcentral_ 78954 this was a complexly separate install, taking precautions.
it wa loaded in to a separate folder before un ziping I dd get it to fie up and again a small test track, this is still being evaluated wen I have the time.
It will not let yo put it into a separate drive, just flips back to C drive, second complaint on this it tries to put th whole program into the user folder this is a no no, this should be corrected.
This new trial that has been sent to me I will see what happens,
just some of my correspondence as no notice seem to be with articals on the forum, my be you may see this.

Hi due to me not getting satisfactory answers, and the high cost hat I have incurred wit this game, I am now in negotiations with the local gaming store to have all copies of TANE removed from their 450 stores as there do not want customers asking for their money back because the game is badly flawed and I have bee refused my money returned.
I also have a contact in the UK that will be doing the same until there is satisfaction

Hi Brian - I am certainly sorry to hear your concerns.

Can you please provide me with copies/ticket ID's or any of your correspondence with our team and also some idea of what issues you are having. We know from our recent survey that 10% of our users are having significant issues. Clearly this percentage is too high and we are looking at the problems, and have addressed many in the soon to be released Service Pack 1 update.

If you are able to download 8GB, can I ask you to please download and install this in-development build and report back whether any of your issues have been resolved (and of course, if not, what is not working).

This did not happen, due to it being over the 180days allowed by PaPal they would not be able to get our money back for a product that does not work or has many faults. The excuse also of it was opened, yes but it was not a seal pack as it with shop bought products.
At the moment you are about to lose 450 outlets and that is just from on gaming outlet here in Australia, Then there will be a similar action in the UK.
This I what happens when you promise something and do no deliver, or even offer a money back or a deal with another product. The most important think with the 2009, 2010 and 2012 was it allowed you to engineer your own layouts and with plenty of content, and third parties did get lot of content up dated and put into the down load station when it was managed by auran. Now this has just become a drive game, with only a few locos, and not much good, many of us like to have the steam content locos. Big boy and many of the British locos. So you see where you when wrong, you upset the main base clients that have been loyal supporters and sent money to out for a product that was not even released.
This will shortly go onto the other media sights facebook etc. a good fix make all the 2010and 2012 compatible quickly and let it be FREE. You will not gain many more support buy just ripping us off with the DLS stuff. It has already cost me $300 plus for a dud product.

Well I hope you do something soon I have to report to the Gaming shop on this TANE some on the local shops in my area have pulled them from the shelf for the moment.

I to am sick to death with trying to get the game to run download update after update any other software dev company would do beta testing before releasing it on disks to the public to witch then cost me a lot of download data as I had do download a full copy of the game as it would not update the version build
very poor indeed if I had known what I know now I WOULD NEVER HAVE WASTED MY MONEY ON IT SO THIS IS A WARNING TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT BUYING THIS PROGRAM THINK REAL HARD BEFORE YOU WASRE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

On adding the new TANE I found I could not move any of my other routes from 2009-2010 & 2012 ??
then on trying to run my routes in 2009-2010 & 2012 all had crashed and was not able to reload.
I then had to spend all day to remove any trace of TANE of my computer and reinstate 2009-2010 & 2012 I was then able to reinstate most of my routes. What a wast of money TANE IS . I think Brian Bayliss has said it all.
