Apparent texture loss at baseboard junctions

As some of you may have noticed I've been messing around with KDShanks' ProtoClinchfield (Elkhorn Ext).

I first installed the route from the original files into TS12SP1HF4 and then saved the route in that game.

I then saved the route as a cdp and installed that into TANE SP1

Then I noticed this

Since I was just fooling around for my own pleasure I didn't worry about it too much. Now, however, KD is willing to consider the possibility of releasing the updated route if I can get it cleaned up and finish updating it.

So how to I get rid of those Grid textures? They appear to be following the baseboard boarders. I've tried repainting them but the texture doesn't stick apparently. They appear to be spreading with each save I think.

Suggestions welcome.

I've seen this back in TS12 more than once and in T:ANE SP2 a few times now. In some cases, there are grooves which need to be filled in which are a pain, but once fixed they don't appear, at least for me. I don't understand why you can't repaint the spots.

I'm not seeing any terrain distortion, just the textures are messed up. In the second screenie you can see two overlaying grids in the lower "vertical" strip I'm not sure wtf it is. I should try repainting again I suppose or re-importing. This does not show in the original in TS12 or in the saved copy in TS12.

This is how I did it, use the height or plateaux tool on the strips anywhere will do and just raise or lower it a tiny fraction and the textures appeared, needs doing on each strip, this was in TS12 so not sure if it will work in TANE.

Changing the height along one of the strips did not cause the texture to appear.
