Annoying problem with newer JR locomotives.

I don't understand why software like that is so expensive and you have to pay that every year to renew it? I had the same problem with converting 3D Warehouse models into Trainz, RubyTMIX can do the conversion but I had to pay $300 a few years ago for one year for the version of Sketchup that would create files that Ruby could read. There is a free version of Sketchup, but it's limited. You need the Pro version which is $300 for one year. So, I can't convert any more buildings because of the cost. I have to ask people like Dave Snow to make something for me like hotels and train stations which he did.
Yeah. Software industry tactics sometimes are abusive, especially with Adobe and Autode$k. I would understand the price if it was a permanent license as it used to be, and more taking into account that not everyone is a 3D professional.

Dave, I was referring to these subscription based programs where you have to pay $300 every year to continue using it. Like Sketchup Pro which you need to convert 3D Warehouse models into a format that RubyTMIX can read to convert into Trainz models. The free version of Sketchup doesn't work.
