Dear Adam

I had just seen the screenshots for your Virginian & Ohio route and all I can say is AWESOME! :udrool: I was just wondering when you plan on releasing the route and do you also plan on releasing the rollingstock pictured (or any that is not pictured). Finally, PLEASE tell me this is for TRS04 :D ?

Gambroe,
I'm not trying to speak in Adam's place, however I can tell you he visits here every once in a while. I also believe the route is in UTC, but I may be wrong.

Cheers,
Woody

Thats fine. Just lookin for an update. Guess I got a little too excited :hehe:

Anyhow, I was very impressed with the screenshots and I'm sure the wait will be worth it!

Thanks again!

LOL! Good try, Woody. You did your best.

It's in TRS2004. I actually dropped UTC in 2005.

Yes, I visit every once in a while. Life, man. I have a 5 month-old sleeping in my arms as I type this at 3:21 am. She loves watching the colors on the screen as I run Trainz, expecially while I'm texturing, oddly enough. It's all good. The 8 year-old and 5 year-old are enthused that I have engineers with their names and pictures on them in Trainz. I'm starting 'em young!

As soon as I hear back from my TWO beta-testers, I plan on fixing and releasing. I'm surprised (still) that only two people were interested in beta-testing. They have had the layout for a few weeks and I haven't heard from them. I e-mailed them a couple of days ago and hope to hear something soon.

Yes, the rolling stock will be released, too. The only items left to work on are a PA-1 and an observation car for passenger service, and I'm not quite happy with the Geeps. I believe I have everything else done. I will eventually improve the Alco switchers and RS3 to bring them in line with the rest of the fleet, but since you almost never saw pics of these engines on the V&O, it's a much lower priority.

The RS11's and C424's, on the other hand, were much higher priorities.

Thanks for the update Adam, and a late congrats on the baby!
That is good that you are starting them young, it is a great hobby and interest to have!
I never did get a chance to thank you for the black IC GP9's that are on the DLS, I'm a fan of those.

Not a problem! I like IC's black Geeps. Same paint scheme, just different colors, as one of my favorites - B&O.

Thanks for the reply! Can't wait to see everything and congratd with the baby!!!!:D

Thank you!

I have contacted a third-party site to inquire about hosting the download. Sigh... I may have to start my own website. Darn.

All I did was take a generic structure, add the brick texture, and put four of 'em together. It still needs work, but it's not bad.

The config file calls it "Chinatown-Retail4-2D" with a kuid2 of 504588:2 following David Drakes User ID Kuid. My only intention of making it was to produce a photo of Cincinnati Southern locomotives in front of it similar to this photo of B&O's Cumberland Shops:

Cumberland is a word frequently used in the Kentucky-Tennessee area. I like it, so I used it. Southern/CNO&TP/CS actually had a shop located south of Somerset, KY in Ferguson. "Ferguson Shops" doesn't sound very good, so Cumberland Shops it is!
