Adding to an existing route

I am building a new route with TrainzDem generated terrain. The route includes UTM objects of the underlying usgs maps.
I want to add a 15 mile branch line to the route. I will join the branch line in Surveyor.
What is a good technique to generate terrain on boards which will match existing terrain at thier junction.

I have the DEM's, georeferenced maps, and route vectors of the original route. I will extend the route in TransDEM adding it to the original DEM. After that I'm lost about getting it into Trainz to match the existing route.

OK, if I read the post correctly, I simply have to export vector data and UTM data from my route in TrainzDem and it will overwrite the files in the route saved to Tranz.

Hello steamboateng,

That is correct - just follow the complete suggestion from Geophil on a copy of your existing route.

Never experiment with your existing route, always use a copy ( just in case Murphy is watching ;) ).
