A Stubborn spline

OK All Constructors

I guess I'm probably not alone here, others may have come across something like this
and there may may a posted solution somewhere in the forums, but I cannot find anything.
I have a route that I wished to merge with another
After merging I noticed a spline ( in this case a catenary wire) above a roadway
Not sure how it got there, but no problem I'll just delete it
No that didn't work. Couldn't move it either.
No matter what I tried, it stubbornly refused to move or delete.
So any way to remove this spline?
Went back to the route I merged, but it wasn't there.
Tried the route I merged with and there was the spline up in no man's land.
Inserted a section under it. Still couldn't move or delete it.
Deleted the section and still there.
Open to any suggestions.
Thanks

What about copying a small blank area of the layout, in objects mode, then pasting that object-less (i.e. blank) piece onto the places where you see spline points? Do you know what I mean?

The only thing I can think of is that you delete the spine before the merge then reinstate it after you have merged the route. Or if you have already merged try to insert a spine then try to delete or move the section giving you the problem.

Hello:
I know this sounds weird but if you can lower it to less than 6 feet it should delete.
I find that some splines cannot be moved or deleted if the spline height is at 10m or more. Lowering them to 9.9m or less allows full control once more.

As xcrossi says, it's a weird phenomenon, but changing the height solves the problem.

I find this work's for me as well although i usually raise it as high as i can stretching the spline and i can then find sumwhere in the middle to delete it.
Cheers Mick.

Or going into a vertical mode as high as you can above the offending object. Rulers are almost impossible to delete unless I do this.

Didn't see it until the merge. Went back to the route it was on.
Cannot delete. Put a section board under it. Raised levels to near it.
Still cannot delete. Cannot grab spline ends, cannot adjust spline heights.
Thanks for the comment anyway

Will test all suggestions

It's annoying but doesn't affect gameplay - just looks weird at the moment.
Just a note - there are only 2 ends to the spline. Cannot grab it by any means.
Adjusted terrain hieght above it and couldn't delete it
When I tried a simple Replace Asset (with say a road) nothing happens
Even tried Delete Missing Assets in an off-chance that might work - nothing
Yeah will persist with all other mentioned suggestions and get back to the forum as soon as I can if there is an effect
Thanx for all the help

OK guys
I've discovered something
So I started systematically deleting sections
However I'll try doing this again as I found the spline disappeared when a section was deleted
but I did this without thinking if it was going to achieve anything. By the time I realised what had happenned I had deleted too many sections.
Need to go back and try again to work out which one.
Seems to me that the ends of the spline are bound to terrain somewhere else. So go figure. Will keep forum posted.

I had this sort of problem when I merged 'Along UTA Lines'. I got spline roads attaching themselves to track all over the place and was unable to delete them. I have a ticket open on this problem with one of the engineers, Zec Murphy. Perhaps if you tell him your tail of woe he might have a better idea on how to cure it.

If you can't delete the spline in spline mode try the others, such as objects track etc, that sometimes works.
If you can select the spline but not delete it try this which worked for me, occasionally splines seem to get morphed into objects.
Create a new layer, name it delete, select the spline, click the question mark, change the layer to delete using the arrow on the dropdown box, delete the layer, spline should now have gone, job done.
Was a problem with TS12 with splines however that should have been fixed in SP1HF4, I've had no problems with it since patching.
