Incompatible Spline

Hi
I have looked at the posts on this topic but can't solve the problem
I am trying to put a speed :limit on a route but am getting Incompatible Spline message
This seems to be happening throughout the route only in Trackside Mode
I don’t understand why I am getting this message as there are no splines involved
I saw in the forums that it can be caused by having another layer under the track
but as far as I can see the track is laid on base
If this is relevant Im using Trainz Platinum 2022
Any suggestions please?

Has same issue with the new update. Had to replace my route track with another track, only way I could work around the issue.

Thanks
That is not what I wanted to hear
I downloaded UK Branchlines and that is. a lot of work
but if that is the only way got no choice

I tried changing a piece of track and I am getting the same. problem
I assume you are working on an American based route so you would be using different track anyway
This seems to be an issue affecting all items in trackside mode only
also seems to be route related as I have tried a simple UK route delivering coal
and that route is fine
if you are on a USA route the issue is not track because we are using different track
I wonder if anyone else is affected and how they resolved it

Yes American route. Try laying another track by itself and add a switch or signal. Some tracks did not work others did. When I found one that worked that is when I changed all my track.

There are many, many posts on this issue and its simple solution. You do not need to replace the tracks.

The problem occurs with routes that were created before the update. It does not affect routes created after the update.

HAVING SAME PROBLEM. IF I WANT TO ADD A SIGNAL OR ANYTHING ELSE IT TELLS ME I CAN'T BECAUSE IT IS AN INCOMPATIBLE SPLINE WHATEVER THAT IS

HAVING SAME PROBLEM.
Typing in UPPERCASE does not make your post any more important.

In any case did you read any of the other posts in this thread before you started shouting? Your post was only #8 in the list and none of the others were essays.

So I will repeat my response from post #6 above.

A permanent "fix" is currently undergoing extensive beta testing (to make sure that it does not introduce any more problems).

I've found a work-around of sorts. If you get this error, lay a short piece of track next to the problematic track that does NOT have the error. Put your signal, buffer, etc on the extra piece of track. Once done, you can use the "Move" tool and click on the item, then drag it across the terrain to the track spot where you originally wanted it to be. Works every time, so far.

Updates sometimes break things. It happens. I have a relatively new computer game sequel called Planet Coaster 2 by Frontier in the UK and they have been pumping out monthly updates except January, and the latest update for February broke a few things and the devs will have to fix them. I guess if you are warned in advance if the game you are playing lets you not install an update you can hold off on installing an update until the issues are fixed. I think with Trainz once you update you can't roll back without reinstalling.
