A Building / Structure layout

Has anyone done a building / structure layout?

No tracks, or rails, etc!

Just curious!

Yes, sir, I've come across a few myself, including some highway only layouts, but I'm scratching my head ... I can't remember, either! LOL

Gfisher made one that was an island with a lighthouse on it. While it did have track, it would be hand-operated in real life with pushed carts, so there was no operating potential.

Dinorius_Redundicus has the island of Kauai on the DLS in various versions, the earliest of which was in two parts, East & West.

As far as I recall whilst the map has scenery there is no track. I had a lot of fun building quick railway networks on this.

I wanted to start an Arboretum of trees route, where everyone could pass it around, and eventually the route would have every tree in Trainz, on the route ... but no one was interested

I have done a range of dioramas without trains or roads - you may remember from past correspondence also -
I have some set assets made by a French creator - it is a range of place able assets with buildings streets textured grass & trees etc and invisible track to link spleen roads to them (when placed cars start moving on them).
They come in arrange of sizes and configurations with modern and old Paris style buildings - very quick way to set up a city scene.

There is one on DLS that has railroad workshops and track etc on one board American Railcar I think it is.

I am on vacation at the moment - but will email you the details when I get home.
