Reading and Northern 2397 leads its train north past the Port Clinton sanding tower on a hot 1997 summer morning.
Wildfires burning in Canada are continuing to create poor air quality conditions in the U.S. as the smoke makes its way south. Today, we really get the smoke from the Canadian wildfires down here, here we catch Metra train 2130 leaving the Fox Lake Sub. and entering the C&M Sub. at Rondout, IL. and a CP Train 342 (Enderlin, ND to Bensenville, IL) waiting to follow train 2130, down to Chicago as well.

Nice work! How did you achieve the smoke effect, if you don't mind me asking.
Michaeleba - If you are referring to my shots /track then it is ones by trainboi1. Named something like 'SG 132'. I can get the actual name if you need it. He has many of differing gauges and rail weights.
Lillydwight - I believe WCL used the environmental settings and added fog to the route for that shot.
