A little more beginners help ?

After some reading and forum help I found out how to replace a locomotive in a session using the combined Driver/Surveyor function ( platinum edition ), I found that I should reset the session rules after this, however I'm now having other issues, so either I am missing something or there is some bug somewhere, I've also done a database rebuild just to be sure, the 2 issues I have noticed is 1. After a change of locomotives the AI Trains that I am not controlling seems to just be stationary, and 2. I get the "Go ahead" from my startpoint, but at the next red light it never changes to green light.. these 2 problems is most likely connected.
This is what I do:
1. Change to roaming cam.
2. Pause and enter surveyor.
3. Uncheck session lock to prevent quickdrive
4. Place the loco I want to use.
5. Reset session rules.
6. Back to Driver mode
7. Unpause.

What am I missing here ?

What route and session are you running?

I have tried it with the same result on Andrushivka: "Fastow Mosti, Day oil" and on Canadian Rocky Mountains: "Columbia River Basin - The Basin leg"
