Video Card for 2019

Just got Trainz 2019 and found out my Geforce 960 can only work with my imported routes from T:ane with no clutter or TURFX plus low resolution details. These routes are not large in size but are high on detail. The new route I'm working on can handle clutter and turfx and higher detail setting. What my fear is as this route gets bigger will I have the same issue as my older routes.
What I would like feedback on if anyone has upgraded their video card since installing 2019 and what your experience was. I'm considering a Geforce 1070 or 1080.

Thanks
Chuck

A 6GB GTX1060 is about the lowest I'd go, I have one in one of my old PCs and it will run on Mid settings OK, a 1070, 1070TI or 1080 would obviously be better, even better would be 1080TI which I have in my main PC and can cope with everything maxed without even getting warm. I have a 980TI in my second PC and that works very well which equivalent wise is in between a 1070 and a 1070TI.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think about the 980ti but cost wise that maybe a better way to go than a 1070ti.

I upgraded to the 6GB GTX1060 and doubled my RAM to 16 Gb and I am getting good results on mostly maximum settings.
