i think you can guess what happened,i deleted the wrong files so i still can enjoy the little guys work but my own work, gone.
time to start something new!
this time i go for asia, the nepal-india region,i spend my last vacation there and am still quit fond of these countries!

here's a first impression after only a few hours of work.

Linhas Cruzadas (Crossed Lines)

My new scenario to exercise thrain on traffic management.
One double central line e two one track branch lines. Those branchs initiate at the same station.
The ideia is to fill the lines with passangers trains and some freight to make some "troubles".
The general scheme of the central station:

Since I am gettin close to finishing the Chicago route it has podered on me about scenery and of course keepin poly s down...........
Then theyres Chicago s well known for rounded building s for sidings which was a popular industry model for utilizing track space..........

So I decided to try something different in that aspect although this probably has been done before?

I found creating some textures and reconfiguring them as splines as seen in the 2 pics....
Perfect concept is fills a lotta space can be rounded or stacked and only 8 polys per unit...........

these are only demos of someone elses IM file so I intend to create
a new spline in gmax with a few variations in heights.....
Now the problem is for me is how does one create a static object into a spline?
I would assume creating a invisable track spline and attach the object to that?
fixed that problem made some files just havin trouble mapping ugh sooner or later....ill get it
Any tutorials refering to would be helpful thnx....

Dave =)

um two things, @Isaac, that route is amazing, may i ask where you got that track?

@bobcass, um, sorry to tell you, but you're tender's backwards:eek:

It's the built-in TS2010 track by Tume for his Avery-Drexel route. I'll grab the KUID yet.

A bit more, this time from the eastern Mediterranean :)

Draw distance is crappy :'(

Thought I would post a couple of quick pics from my current project which is a UK route based on real track layout but I'm changing it in certain areas and will give everything a fictional name.

The pics are of the Steel Works which is where I have started first, still a bit bare but slowly adding the detail.
