WOW, that's amazing!! Ya know what we need now? that F45 they turned into a cabin. You are putting the Izaak Walton on the route, right?

OOH, brainwave!!! take the enginespec, enginesound, horn, and all other engine things off of Tume's FP45 and skin it in glaicer blue. it would be a proper stand-in for the mega F-unit at the Walton.

Thanks for the positive feedback, That isn't a bad idea... Ill give it a shot as soon as the DLS gets its act together, the trees are splines called las5spline and as far as i can remember are on the DLS aswell.:)

Will all those trees affect framerates ?

Some guys place trees just near the first 100' trackside ... an find various hillside textures that have a distant look.

But this looks awesome !

And some guys, like me, plaster trees everywhere. :P

I have to say man, I am actually really looking forward to your BNSF route. I don't know why, but something about it just makes me nostalgic.

sorry i keep pushing this, but right where that road curves, that's where the F45 is. If i had GIMP i'd skin the FP45 for you. unfortunately, i don't (yet; I'm still trying to sort out TS2009 on a new computer) but maybe someone could help you with that? Anyway, i am looking forward to this route greatly. It brings me back to when i had MSTS. I didn't have the internet then (lived in a rural area, long story) so all i could run was the stock routes. There was a place on the Marias Pass line where you could floor the throttle, drive the train off the end of the track, and make the cars fly everywhere. It was awesome:D :hehe:

scratchy: Those are awesome shots..I have discovered over a period of time about planting trees..Because of the frame rate problem, I like to plant individual trees and I like to plant them in random pattern..In my estimation I think it looks better that way..However I also know a lot of guys like to use splines, some like to use copy/paste method mainly because of big areas..

i read the splines effect FPS more, i been copying and pasting trees since a while back i seem to have no issues when approaching a large group..

This is my opinion..Coal Drag..

the short line's heavy 4-axle power, an ex CNR GP9-Slug-GP9 lashup, backs out of the storage sheds and heads for the Colton Grain Co sidings. in the background can be seen the line's dilapidated roundhouse, coal chute, and water tank.

while all this is going on, the line's original power rests by the Kerry gravel loader.

the GPs reverse down to the wye, with Colton in the background.

we dont have canadian engines down here in missouri unless they're foreign visitors :P i like the route though :D

well, the route's freelanced anyway, so i guess the railway bought them off a dealer. I've got to get back on this route though. Been busy with an old 3ft gauge route for the past weekend or two.

And for the record, i've seen a CNR SD70Ace or M2 or something or rather (i don't know diesels very well) on a BNSF grain train in the 19th street yard north of the river. That's the Missouri River, mind you:wave:.

And you all thought he was dead....

recently restored Ex-NYC Mohawk 3124 steams across the third of three bridges on the Misouri River Valley's south end. These used to limit the power to GP-7/9 type engines until the middle (and most restricted) bridge was replaced in the 1980's. The city with its new highrises sits in the backround.
