WOLF!! Pics

Somewhere in the layout..
I have 2 Border Collie bitches who got puppies last fall. I sold one to a family living 15 min driving from where I live....

He had a wolf only 100 meters from his housewall and took pics of it. He told: "The wolf stopped when meeting a man with a dog, and the distance between the wolf and the man with the dog was only 30 meters, " he told. The wolf was not agressive but only curious.

I love this animal and there are a growing population of wolfs in my area. I hope to see this great animal live some day!.

The wolves are turning out in the UK too, but not in the back garden. It's election time and they're busy putting on sheep's clothing. ;-)

Not a wolf but a female coyote, shot from my living room doorway. She was about 10 feet away. Her mate is even bigger, the size of a German Shepard. Apparently some of the Eastern Coyotes hybridized with Grey Wolves on their way east. Supposedly we have no wolves here in New England, but it would not surprise me if there were a few in northern Maine.

She brought all her pups by for us to see when they were about ten or twelve weeks old. Very cute.

Awesome, Jankvis, I'll send you a message with my email. The others that like this go to www.wolfpark.org ,scroll down on the left side of the page to the red letters IN Memoriam and click on Memory of Orca. When that opens there is a link about halfway down that says Orca update. this will give the story of Orca's injury that paralysed him, and how he recovered.
If you are really interested in this story send me an email an I'll give you a link that will allow you to see the Video I did as a memorial for Orca that I sent to the Wolf park where he lived.
BTW, explore the wolf park web site and join if you like, its an awesome place.

That is awesome, George. :D

We've had a few up our way back "west" in Haverhill. My girlfriend out in Lunenburg volunteered at a rescue center and has seen a few come in. She gave them shots, fixed them up and sent them on their way.

They are beautiful animals no matter what anyone says about them. There are wolves up in Vermont and northern New Hampshire. I was up in Colebrook two weeks ago and someone I was talking to reported two wolves, both males, to the local game warden. Sadly he had to shoot one of them because it attacked his dog right up on the back deck, and tried to break through the slider to go after the other dog in the house. :(

I've always loved wolves. They are great animals. I've yet to see one in person.

Cool pics. Surprised you all didn't run in fear like most people would.

greywolf..u got mail..

G fisher: Nice pics of the coyote...:)
Nice pics on the website there greywolf..:) ...It's hard NOT to be facinated by these animals..

The wolf polulation seems to be growing. Another wolf where observed not far away from where I live 2 weeks aga (may be the same one). I really hope to see one live one day.

Several dogs where killed by wolfs last fall, but they where hunting dogs (Norwegian Elghund) and they follows tracks far away from their owner. they also bark a lot and may have triggered the killer instinct in the wolfs.
My 4 Border Collie dogs are herding dogs and they never run far away from me due to their herding instinct, so I do not fear any wolf attack on them.

Finally some pics of my wolfpack.....Luna and Rikke

Meg:This young Border Collie bitch has ancestors from Wales and Scotland. Gareth David's "Wisp", Bobby Daziel's "Wisp", Eryri Roi from Wales, Sadghyl Pip from Wales is in the pedigree of this young dog. She is going to be tested on sheep in a couple of weeks as her herding instinct is strong.

Luna looks like she is wondering why you are taking a picture of her. I love Border Collies. My fiance and I own two German shepherds.

I used to do weight pulls and dog shows with a pack of Alaskan Malamutes, but unfortunately the guy moved away.
