win7 indexing

G'day All, I have been wondering dose the indexing service in win7 help or hinder trainz especially in game, could it be a cause of pauses and stutters or can it assist to reduce these by making things easier to find. I am not a PC tech type so do not understand what this "feature" does and why.

I disabled it on the partition TS12 is installed on. One less thing for it to deal with.

I keep indexing turned off totally along with Windows search.
