Will the Duchess work error free in Ts12 build 61388

I have the Duchess suite I purchased a couple of years ago and had it running in 2010/2012 however I have not re installed it after a recent big crash. Anyone know if it will install error free into Ts12 build 61388?
What about S & C as well? I thought I had read somewhere that there are some issues with that one?

It should work fine including the S&C which is also DLC now.

Just in case........... with 61388 your existing DLC installers will no longer work, need to download from within the game now for DLC with TS12 SP1, the format has changed and no longer uses JA files for DLC. All DLC has been updated to work with SP1.

OK Thanks Malc. This could get a bit tricky. My copy of S & C is on a DVD which I bought from Sirgibby of Trainzone. If S & C no longer uses .ja files in build 61388 perhaps it would not be wise to install it from the disc, but to download it from the DLS? If so, How would I go about it. Do I put the serial number in the options page of the launcher first before I attempt to download it, and then what? Do i just find it by doing a search in CM and download? I normally download using the black pages but it looks like that would not be an option this time. I recall that were a few problems with S & C in Ts12 when 12 first came out an there was a patch or something. Now that it is on the DLS I presume that it has been fixed and all error free? Would appreciate your thoughts

For 61388 you don't need the serial or the disk, it will probably try to download when you first start up TS12. However if it doesn't, you start Trainz proper, not Content manager, click "Get New Content", there are three tabs, Paid, Free and Upload, click Paid, ignore the large list and click the Redownload all purchases button and it should start downloading probably two or three concurrent downloads, you can cancel them if your connection won't stand it and repeat for each one, a bit tedious but it works I guess.
Doesn't matter where you originally bought it for Pre SP1 DLC so long as it was registered on-line with N3V. New DLC purchases don't even have to be registered now as you can only get them via in game digital download.

If you want to save DLC stuff thats been downloaded, it's all in the new Userdata/packages folder, just copy it somewhere, you can zip it up to save a bit of space. Then if you have to reinstall for any reason, you can just stick the packages folder back, run a QDR if TS12 doesn't do it anyway, and it all works, plus avoids downloading it all again.

Hi Malc. Tried as you suggested and while it tells me that it is all updated there is still no S & C in the routes menu. [and it didn't download either] As I did not purchase it as a downloaded item but as a DVD, perhaps that is the problem and I will need to re install it again from the disc. However I know that when I do, it will give me grief as I recall some people writing about problems with it when they installed it into TS12 but there was a site they went to get a fix but I cant find any reference to it on the forum. Do you know anything about it? If I install my 2009 version from the DVD should it update itself anyway from the DLS once it 'sees' it?

Incidently re the Duchess Suite, do you have it installed? I have installed it and ran one of the consists but it will only work in DCC mode no in cab mode. I cant recall if it was always like that or if its like that now due to the re install. Any pointers? Cheers

Afraid the disk is now useless for TS12 SP1 which does not recognise JA files for DLC or accept the serial numbers, has to be the digital in game download now.
Duchess works fine in cab mode here, just checked in case anything had changed, just to check, you are finding the correct Duchess and not the very early Trainz jetstreamsky version or the alex23 one?
SnC both disk and original downloads required a patch from N3V to work in 2010 upwards I think it was and an update from the Settle and Carlisle Website, neither are applicable or work with the digital SP1 version which is fully updated to work with TS12 SP1 only.

You should have tdd023_1 and tdd023_02 folders in the packages folder for SnC.

You may need your S&C serial number entered in your profile at Planet Auran for it to download automatically.

Hi Curtis, Yes I had done that early on, but still no joy. It's not that important. It was the steam locos I wanted out of it really. particularly the 9F's for another route. However not to worry. We will have the new T:ANE here in a couple of months or more so that should absorb our interest for a while instead.

Curtis: 'Profile at Planet Auran ..........' Thank you. Something clicked after I re read your post. I was thinking of the section in the launcher Options menu where I put all my Serial numbers in.
I had no idea about those serial profiles on the Planet Auran web page. It was all new to me. Never noticed it before so thank you for that. Have always just put them in the options page in the launcher menu.
So have just put the serial numbers in for S & C, Blue Comet and the Duchess suites. Will wait and see what happens.
