Where is Mezzoprezzo?

Casper's artistic qualities are second to none. Most of his screenies are of photographic quality. His use of textures really creates atmosphere, and his humor is also missed.

I've seen the theory put forward here in regard to another's absence that he has possibly "a life". I suspect a more sinister explanation.

Yes, I guess that Casper and Alberte both found a "life" at the same time.

Or, maybe they are both shopping around for cheap gas.:)

Have fun,

Casper has just logged off, but did not post anything

Am missing Alberte's witty humour, but Ed's still keeps this forum happy:hehe: :hehe:

Good afternoon everyone. Well how nice it is to have been missed!

I’m happy to report that I am fine thanks .

I hadn’t really expected anyone to have noticed my absence, much less make comments (nice ones too!)

There’s nothing sinister (Ed) about my temporary disappearance – I’m intrigued as to any possible conspiracy theories though. The mind boggles:eek: .

I’ve been pursuing regular internet free summer interests, including acquiring plenty more research material for full-on winter Trainzing later in the year. I’ll look at posting some screenshots in the next few days if time allows.

What little time I’ve spent on the Forum has been playing catch up reading threads. It’s difficult enough after just a couple of day’s absence to pick up on all of the news - and almost impossible after six weeks.

Good to see lots of familiar names; good humour, help, assistance, great screenshots and ideas (and abuse:p ) still abound.

There doesn’t seem to be anything Earth shattering going on though – unless I’ve missed something.

It's still a great Forum and a pleasure to be back for a while.

Cheers
Casper

Happy to know you are still with us Casper. Looking forward to your screenies appearing on the forums. Sure have missed your sense of humour.

Regards Dave.

Thanks Dave!

I’m having problems with Imageshack though – it’s taking forever to load each page.

I’ve carved out a few days to do a bit more route building and have put together a couple of screenshots which are proving impossible to upload due to the painfully slow response. I’ve emailed them but am not hopeful for a response beyond the automated “We’ll reply if we have to – go check the FAQ’s”. Well, FAQ’s don’t give the answer (after waiting 10 minutes for that page to load!)

I’ve been trying off and on all day to upload just one shot which has yet to appear in the “My Images” pages which is also on a go slow.

Looks as if I might need to switch my image hosting site if I can find the time and mental energy to do it. It’ll be a shame to let my old image links die off if I do have to change.

Here’s hoping it’s just a temporary blip. I can’t see any murmurings about the problem on the Web though.

Is anyone else getting the same grief, or know of a solution?

Casper

Was a bit sluggish earlier, but seems ok now.

Thanks to ImageShack.

Glad to see that your are doing okay, Casper. Your screenshots are real winners. :D

One guideline that the one who frequents the Trainz Discussion Forums should probably abide by is to check up on the forums very often, not going over around two days between visits, for this could be called a forum that never (or rarely) sleeps, and there will be so many posts for your to sort through after probably even just two days, especially if there are some hot threads around, that you might have to spend a little while just reading them.

Host Then Post is all that I use nowadays, since ImageShack had those malware infections, which is also the reason why I no longer even click on any ImageShack links. H. T. P. is simple and has few ads. ;)

Regards.

@ Stationbeem

Imageshack link eventually delivered so my SSOTW competition entry has been submitted succesfully through their site and seems to instantly link to the Forum. Uploading still remains all but impossible though.

I'll leave it for a day or two and see if things improve. (BTW - It's time those two anglers in your screenshot caught something!)

@ Euphod

Thanks for the link Ed.

That works. Very quick - and easy too. I do like its simplicity. It's a pity the limit prior to removal if not accessed isn't longer than 30 days.

All bookmarked and ready for use as a back up site.

@Retro00064

Thanks for the added endorsement for H.T.P. and your kind words. It really is very nice to be around again for a while.

Cheers
Casper
