Ramblin' Man..
The topic of the thread is how your computer is set up for trainz. My set up is I have a pair of 20 inch subs running for sound, I can feel the damn locomotives when they notch up :D

Will have to see if I can dig up photos of the old TOTR rig we used to demo 2006 on - we even had a seat with shaker cushions so it felt lie a real loco seat as you notched up.

I have ran trainz at 1KW through a pair of 15 inch EV concert W's but the neighbors houses shake to much.

There was an thread much the same as this a few years ago wish I could find it as some of the trainz rigs people showed then were eye candy and would bring a tear to your eye at the same time.

You might want to check you tape measure as they look more like 10 inch woofers in those boxes not 20 inch ones. What is there RMS power you are driving them at ?

correction they're 15, and I got no idea as far as power
but when fully cranked they can be heard about, 500 so feet away

I have a HP laptop sitting on a cooling pad with a HDD, headphones and an external mouse and keyboard plugged in.

HDMI believer

I believe 100% in the use of HDMI cables.

My computer's video/audio is piped via HDMI through our Home Theatre (7:1 virtual sound) and then with HDMI into our large HDTV. I sit back 3m (10 feet) in our comfortable sofa with a wireless keyboard and mouse on a small pad. Great surrounding audio and large screen.

It turns Trainz into "being at the movies." :Y:

My room's desk. Everything in this corner was newly bought last Christmas (except for that Logitech wheel, it's almost a decade old and still works, lol). Nowadays I rarely have opportunity to enjoy it due to a hectic school schedule.

I have a toshiba laptop and a lazyboy recliner I got for 20 dollars. Or my home computer which is a Compaq with a 500GB hard drive and a 27 inch monitor. Everyone in the house knows when I use that one.

Nothing fancy here , just my PC with a 22" flatscreen. The PC is a little over a year old, the monitor 5 years I think. No fancy sound setup, just the on board audio with a pair of $20 speakers from best buy.

I use a 14 year old monitor (it is not a flat screen) with old Packard Bell speakers and the computer is a dell with 3GB of ram, an nvidea geforce gt 610, and and a 2.6GHz AMD Athlon 5000+. I think I need to upgrade (but I don't mind the speakers or monitor)

P.S. The computer has windows vista 32 bit

Love the thermos. No, really I do. Not only does it look like it should be on a locomotive on the road, it's the same one my Grandfather used to have when I was a kid. :D

Looks like the one has taken a few hits, Midrange dust cap looks damaged, and the woofer appears to have been repaired (RTV?). I was an electronics tech in audio in a former life.

it was repaired and the thermos was given to me by an EX SP engineer, he ran into a semi with that in the cab from what I was told
