what made you like trains?

as a kid my parents brought me to all the train places, and the fact that you can create anything or place on this game blew me away+ its so easy to get good at it

For me, well, first, when I was an infant, my local library had a Brio layout. And, of course, Thomas was just coming out(in the US). But what really got me into them was that my parents took me for a ride on the Western Maryland Sceinic RR in Cumberland for my 3rd birthday. The rest is history!

for me its the fact that my family has worked on the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railway for 2 generations and now i love railroading. I my self want to become a freight conductor out of Chicago or Clovis New Mexico ^_^

If you were born in a house by the mainline of the Penn Central with trains rolling by every 15 minutes then you can sleep through anything.

I just got into them myself, really.

For me it was family rail connections. My grandpa was a Southern executive and later Louisville & Nashville RR's VP. My dad gew up spending alot of his time on my grandpa's private car which beat it into him. Then my constant rail journeys and beating it into me got me hooked.

For me, my dad had been visiting the Strasburg Railroad since he was very young, and he passed the love of trains on to me by taking me to Strasburg since I was 2.
